I came to this studio via a Living Social deal - 10 classes for $20 - so how could you go wrong? Well, you can't, and I didn't. I have been doing Vinyasa Flow Yoga for 3 mos. and when I read the class schedule on-line-I thought; great Beginner class for me. Slow movements with focus on proper breathing and and finding your comfort zone. That is partiallly true. The first instructor was great-but the pace was fast - faster than I had ever done. But she did emphasize to do what you can do and after class she said "Great job, you'll get used to the flow and THE HEAT". Yes, this is a heated studio-from what I could see-81F to 83F. The studio was much cooler on Sat. morning at 8 am as opposed to a Wed. nite at 7 pm. Not extreme but a lot warmer than I'm used to. It is true, the heat helps you go deeper in your poses, just be prepared with a towel and lots of water - at least 32 oz. The 2nd instructor was good but not as patient to the slower praticeers. Challenge is good, but feeling remedial is not. Give Harbor Yoga a try? Absolutely! It may become my go-to studio, but I'll reserve judgement for another 8 practices. I do like the challenge, but it is crowded - 25 -30 practictioners per class.Should be about 20. Nameste.
