By definition, hatha can translate as forceful, or as a compound of Ha, which means sun and Tha, which means moon. Traditionally this word implies the joining of the opposing forces of body and mind. The word Raja means royal, and symbolizes a mastery over the mind through meditation. The word yoga means to yoke, or unite. Hatha Raja Yoga combines these four ideals, using the physical to unite the mind and body. You will be guided through traditional yoga poses and sequences as well as some modern exercises concluding with a relaxation, breath-work and meditation.
