This is an entry level class and is REQUIRED for new students before they take any other class. Pole Trick Series: Iron X, Phoenix and Handsprings oh my

Students MUST have completed at least 4 weeks worth of Basic Invert classes with us or have teacher approval before taking a Pole Trick Series classes. It is HIGHLY recommended that students attend all 4 weeks of each trick series, as each week will build progressively on the last. For May's menu, it is recc. you have a strong Ayesha in order to work towards the Iron X, the other tricks will be broken down for new students.As always, safety is our main concern. Students will learn the foundations of these tricks first, build strength and gain balance before execution without a spotter/mat. Shorts and sports bra required. Cover ups for warm ups are always welcome.

Stretching decreases your likelihood of injury, improves posture, decreases muscle pain and increases blood flow and circulation. Please bring a yoga mat as the studio has a limited number of mats available for student use. You may also want to bring a water bottle to keep near you and a small towel if you like. We will focus on stretches that will improve your pole practice. This class is complimentary for those who are in a Membership. Otherwise, please be prepared to pay $15 before class starts. Basic Pole Inverts & Prep Foundations (Level-101 and above)

Learning how to go upside down on the pole can be intimidating, however starting with the right foundations makes a world of difference for your body. We will conduct several invert prep techniques for strength and conditioning from the floor first, then for those who are ready, we will spot each student and practice several beginner inverts from the standing position.  We are opening this class for those who are level 101 and above as an update to our format, however if you are not strong enough to complete a clean (no kick) inverted V you will continue to work on the invert foundations for your safety and comfort. Attire is shorts and a tank top or sports bra. NO lotion and bare feet please. For injury and liability reasons, students are not allowed to execute tricks they have not been taught by us while in the studio.

I must highly recommend this studio to anyone who is interested in having fun while working out. I started to pole dance after seeing some amazing YouTube videos, and two years later I am still completely in love with pole and I actually look forward to working out! I started with no dance experience and completely out of shape. Pole dance builds muscle, stamina, flexibility, confidence, and positive self-image. Sarah is a very patient, knowledgeable, and encouraging instructor who provides a variety of classes for different skill levels. Everyone at Impulse is positive, encouraging, and friendly with no sense of competition or cattiness. The ladies that go there range in age, body type, background, and personality but all have a great attitude and are fun to be around. Class sizes are small, allowing for more feedback and a more personalized experience. I would recommend even the mildly curious try an introductory class and keep an open mind! It might change your life!
