This is a fitness based yoga class. This type of yoga is based on the science of hatha yoga. It blends balance, strength, flexibility and power in a fitness based format. Each class starts with a relaxation phase, followed by a warm up phase. We then move into our ‘work’ phase. This is when we do most of the challenging poses to help work our muscles to their fullest potential. Class is closed up with a cool down phase and another relaxation phase. Each class is for mixed levels. Modifications are offered for most of the poses. These classes are very customizable. You can work as hard, or lightly as you wish. We have a wide variety of people in our mixed levels class. We have had pregnant women, postpartum women, and seniors. We offer modifications for both of these types of yoga enthusiasts.
