Nia is a dynamic blend of dance, martial arts and healing arts (there are 9 different movement forms in Nia). It is an hour-long, aerobic experience set to many different types of music (African, Celtic, Jazz, Pop, Electronic, etc.). Nia is a not just a workout, but a mind body education, building coordination, body awareness and self expression. There are specific Nia "moves" but there is a lot of freedom to move in your own body's way and at your own level, which is why all Nia classes are generally suitable for all levels.
