There are no weekend-certified instructors or trainers. Our staff has in-depth biomechanical knowledge and advanced Pilates certifications, which is enhanced with professional designations. Several have graduate degrees and are a Physiotherapist, Teacher, Occupational Health Therapist, Professional Athlete, Olympian and Registered Nurse. Our Critical Care Registered Nurse of 25 years, is a master Pilates instructor and movementSpecialist & personal trainer who does all initial intake assessments to team you with the most appropriate instructor/trainer and ensure all health concerns are investigated, understood and taken into consideration when exercising.What to expect that is differentRecognizing the importance of the trunk in providing a stable base for movement in everyday life is just a starting point for core training. It is important to appreciate that exercising and strengthening without regard for proper alignment and addressing maladaptive movement patterns is shortsighted. Alignment is the foundation for optimal movement of muscles and bones. This is required to prevent injury and correct recurring areas of pain (eg: cranky back/hips/neck). The toolbox of knowledge you will learn about your body, how it works and how to work with it will be yours forever. These tools unlock the apprehension surrounding exercising, the lost feeling about what to do at home, and quietly and subtly allows you to believe in yourself and change yourself. You redevelop your health foundation from the inside out.Pilates Principles are used in a traditional Pilates mat or reformer environment or translated into personal training or rehabilitation that creates a correct, coordinated plan customized for you.
