Moodz Day Spa and Salon

After 2 years I went back for another mani/pedi - still bliss... I tried the new OPI gels for the hands - I love it! Even better there is matching regular OPI nailpolish for the feet! Definately worth it!

On the positive side, it's well equipped and tastefully decorated. Waxing experience-Either the lighting may not have been sufficient, or the specialist not properly trained. While getting waxed, she missed several areas, and didn't clean up the remanent wax. I walked out with sticky pants and sleeves. The specialist was in a great hurry to get me out the door. Mani/pedi experience-Again, not great, the manicure is vary basic, no massage. The pedicure also is simple, the ladies always seem to be in a hurry to turn over their chairs. I didn't come out feeling pampered but rather felt like I'd been hurried through a process. The polish didn't last. The staff are abrupt and unfriendly to new comers, not a good first impression. Disappointing overall. I'd heard some good things about them before I went; won't go back even though I have $$ left on my gift certificate.

I've gone to other places for a spa pedicure, but I go back to Moodz in Wayland for the massage chairs. There's just something about having your feet rubbed while an automatic roller goes up and down your back. Heaven! Jess is my usual manicurist and she is warm, friendly and unassuming. She's not too rough on the feet and I'm happy with the results. My only complaint is sometimes women bring their children upstairs to the spa area. Sorry, I don't mean to offend anyone, but a spa area is not a place for children who have a hard time being quiet and sitting still. Not their fault. Parents, please don't bring your kids to a spa.

I went to this spa several years ago to relax while I was at a convention, I got a massage. It was painful when I spoke up I was told it was supposed to be. I asked again for a lighter touch and was ignored. When it was over she told me that she wasn't a masseuse she was filling because the masseuse wasn't in that day!

Moodz spa is located in a reconfigured colonial house. The first floor is open and modern, the second floor is cozy. A great variety of services and those providing the services are experienced and do a great job.

I got a mani/pedi at this spa and was impressed with the luxury of the experience. The staff was entertaining and knowledgeable about services offered and made the experience fun. I would visit a gain for other services.
