Our Circuit Training focuses on speed, strength, conditioning agility and endurance.Each class starts with 20 mins. of quick-changing boxing combinations with a partner or on our heavy bagsThen our trainers will take you through a circuit of heart-pounding cardio drills. Work for 30 seconds and rest for 30 seconds as you move from station to station performing a variety of calisthenics and plyometric, medicine ball and boxing drills.Get ready to throw and catch heavy balls, jump up and down on milk crates, slam heavy balls onto heavy bags, hit a tire with a sledgehammer and any other crazy stuff we can think of

Beginner Boxing

Beginner Boxing. These classes are where it all starts! Our Beginner Boxing class is the perfect introduction to boxing fundamentals for our welcome newcomers. It covers proper stance, jabs, right crosses, hooks, basic footwork and basic head movement.While not as intense a workout as our other classes, it is an essential starting point for newcomers.We also recommend that eventhose with some prior boxing experience (24 hr cardio boxing or something similar) also take this as their 1st class to learn some of the terminology and the way we do partner drills at Polk St Gym. Then you can decide if you feel ready for Level 2 or want to take another couple of Beginner classes.We ask that newcomers take at least 3 Beginner classes before advancing to Intermediate Boxing. These will be a very fast paced class and it will be assumed that you are proficient in all aspects of boxing, punching, slipping, footwork and advanced combinations etc. The conditioning side of things will take no prisoners and you will be pushed to your limits to maximize results.
