Manicure and Brow Wax
This place is a little hard to find - it looks just like a house and I never saw a sign - but it offers a relaxing, unpretentious environment. I was very happy with my brow wax and shellac manicure with Pond and the owner, Jeff, was very accommodating to my requests.

I feel like I had been with Family.
It was great to walk into this spa for the first time, on Valentines day mind you, and feel relaxed upon entering. Essence of India, is what I would call the style the owners going for. I think she's pulled it off real well. In The waiting room I was served water and a chocolate covered strawberry - a real winner for me (my favorite). I sat for maybe 10 minutes, then was greeted by my manicurist, who is also the owner of the Avenues Day Spa. Everything was wonderful, the atmosphere, the experience, but especially the people. I made new friends that day and left feeling like I had been with family. The only down fall of the whole thing - I had a Paraffin Manicure done. The next day my nail polish was coming clean off, because wax was left on some of my nails before the polish was applied ): However, I didn't really care - my nails stayed pretty for my Valentines date with my hubby and I really did feel like I was hanging out with family (: Make of it what you will!

So I got a gift certificate for my birthday, and decided to choose this spa because of their many services offered. Let's start with the massage. I arrived exactly at 3...they didn't get me in the room until 310 and she didn't get in there until 320. Now, she did do a great massage, but it definitely wasn't the full time that it was supposed to be. I was also supposed to get a salt scrub...which litteraly consisted of scrubbing my knees, elbow and feet with salt and wiping it off with a towel. These 2 proecedures cost me 170 dollars. Huh? The next day I scheduled a body wrap, but guess I didn't specify which one, cuz all they did was rub oil on my skin and wrap me up in saran wrap and put me on a bed to lay there. She then asked if I wanted a facial for forty dollars extra...I said yes. So I laid in saran wrap for what was supposed to be 45 minutes and got a facial that I think was pretty good....cost me 150 dollars. ???? For saran wrap on my body. Then I walk out and look in the mirror and there is white stuff all over my face and up my nose. WOW! Gorgeous place, but the prices are just too high for what you get!!! Will never go back and do not recommend!!!
