FTP Test
Functional Threshold Power Test. In this benchmark test, clients will find out their maximum sustainable wattage (FTP), leaving with a spreadsheet of individualized power and heart rate (if they wear an ANT+ compatible heart rate monitor) parameters across the training zones. Participants should expect to work hard and come rested and hydrated. FTP tests are not intended for those brand new to exercise and should only be undertaken after at least 6-8 weeks of regular exercise. Knowing your FTP is they key to achieving your goals, be they general fitness or performance-related. We invite anyone to attend an FTP test and ride at a lighter intensity if you are not yet ready for the test itself. Don't let a scheduled test deter you from coming to class. |
