The atmosphere at DentaSpa matches Dr. Ellis' holistic philosophy. The waiting room at DentaSpa is designed to instill a peaceful feeling in patients. A Zen fountain soothes the eyes and ears, aromatherapy candles create a pleasing, calming aroma, and herbal tea is available. For additional comfort, patients may request hand and foot massages during treatment. Facials are also available. An especially popular procedure is bridal tooth whitening, which combines cosmetic dentistry and massage in one rejuvenating, pampering experience before the big day.
Dr. Ellis' procedures conform to holistic principles of prevention and natural care. At DentaSpa, only mercury-free fillings are used in order to avoid the medical repercussions (such as chronic fatigue syndrome and autism) that have been linked to prolonged mercury exposure. Similarly, homeopathic and alternative therapies are often substituted for their conventional equivalents, e.g., acupuncture for anesthesia, herbal products for chemicals. Dietary and nutritional counseling are also available to encourage long-term oral health.
