About Grand Traverse Resort and Spa
The Grand Traverse Resort and Spa, complete with a 7,000-square-foot spa, is located in the northwest corner of Michigan’s Lower Peninsula, near the banks of Lake Michigan’s East Grand Traverse Bay. Presiding over 900 acres, the property is designed to showcase the surrounding area’s stunning beauty, with relaxing and invigorating amenities that enchant both pleasure- and business-focused visitors.
Highlights include three championship golf courses, 86,500 square feet of conference and meeting space and an extensive gallery of shops. Wellness amenities comprise an expansive indoor/outdoor health complex, complete with an aerobics/yoga studio, cardio-theater and indoor water playground. Following a workout, guests can escape to the Spa Grand Traverse to indulge in signature “cherry-themed” treatments that use the spa’s exclusive blend of locally made cherry oils and lotions. As well, the golf resort provides free shuttle services to the Turtle Creek Casino & Hotel for gaming and casino fun.

The golf resort’s Spa Grand Traverse offers more than 60 treatments, including massage, hydrotherapy, body therapies and skincare, in a tranquil setting inspired by Michigan’s superb four-season beauty. The 7,000-square-foot facility occupies two floors, housing a full range of amenities – 23 treatment rooms, a salon and boutique to complete with spa experience. The resort’s health club is adjacent to the spa, welcoming guests to wander over and use the mineral pools, hot tubs, saunas and exercise rooms following a treatment.
The Spa Grand Traverse Body Renewal is the spa’s signature treatment; this ritual is a combination of an aromatherapy soak fused with indigenous wild birch and wintergreen, a hot stone massage, warm linen wrap and neck, scalp and face massage. Other bespoke therapies include the rejuvenating Cherry Honey Glow, comprising a cherry and sugar scrub and a Vichy shower.
Spa guests ages 16 years and younger must be accompanied by an adult.

Tastefully appointed amenities like wireless high-speed Internet access, eco-friendly features and in-room coffeemakers create a comfortable atmosphere, while far-reaching views of the bay and picturesque hills and orchards bring a glimpse of the outdoors in. The signature Aerie restaurant, specializing in American fare enhanced with Spanish flavors, provides stunning sunset and skyline views from floor-to-ceiling windows.
