Loosely based on vinyasa/astanga yoga, most of our classes will incorporate sun salutions followed by a series of postures (asanas) that flow together paced at the rhythm of your breath. This class tends to move at a faster pace with less cuing and some experience is recommended. That being said, every class can be done at your own pace with as many breaks as your body needs or wants.

BEGINNERS

The basics of yoga: breath, core, and alignment. Geared towards the newer student, we'll introduce the most common poses and break everything down in more detail. Options and modifications will be provided. As this class flows at a much slower pace, it’s a great start for anyone new and curious about yoga, and also a great place for experienced yogis to slow down their practice and focus on the more subtle aspects of asana.

SLOW FLOW

A slower paced, more meditative format

YIN

Open to all levels, yin classes focus on stillness and deep opening. Postures are held for several minutes to access the deep connective tissues of the body that we don’t always feel during a flow class- and access deeper parts of ourselves. A great way to balance out a more active “yang” practice.

RESTORATIVE

Open to all levels, the focus here is on letting go- body and mind- with the aid of blocks, bolsters, blankets, balls and straps. These props fully support the body and allow both the muscles and connective tissue to release, relax and open. This deep relaxation allows your body to focus its energy on some serious healing: releasing toxins, boosting your immune system, and mending injuries. Postures are held for five minutes or more. When was the last time you were that relaxed and awake to experience it?
