Japanese Restorative Therapy
Seifukujitsu is a full body treatment in which the therapist uses their fingers, palms, forearms, and elbows in an exact kata (form) that traces many of the body's muscle channels and meridians. The therapy increases range of motion in the joints, moves the lymphatic system, assists circulation while stimulating several Long Life points, and balances the energy (Qi) in the body. It helps the body heal itself by separating the areas with damaged tissues, enabling them to heal properly. Professor Henry Seishiro Okazaki, founder of Danzan Ryu Jujitsu, continued to develop the restoration therapy by combining the most effective techniques from several disciplines. He stressed to his students the importance of learning how to reverse the effects of their techniques through restoration arts. Danzan Ryu Seifukujitsu therapists strive to be in the moment throughout the therapy session which allows their energetic intention (Ki) to manifest, which in turn helps to allow the Ki of the recipient to come forth and seek its own inherent balance.
