The receptionists here are pleasant but always seem a little out of it. The massage on the other hand is worth coming for over and over again. I love how responsive the lady that does my massages is and I always leave feeling like a weight has been lifted from my back and I am walking on air!

I booked an appointment for a full leg and Brazilian wax for a Sunday evening. I was leaving Monday (Christmas Eve) morning to head to South America for 3 weeks (hence the services) and wanted to be sure to book an appointment as close to my leave date as possible (to stay smooth as long as possible). The appointment was for 5:15pm. I received a call around 4pm saying they needed to cancel because the (apparently only) lady who does the waxing couldn't make it. Um, seriously?! WT* am I supposed to do now? I had been "preparing" for a wax for 3 weeks from the waste down, and leaving for Brazil in less than 24 hours! Incredibly unprofessional and not very apologetic about it to boot.
Luckily, after an hour of frantically calling every business in the neighborhood, I was able to beg another spa to give me a last minute appointment that evening. I don't know if it was a legit cancellation due to extenuating circumstances or a bailout before a holiday, but.. no I am pretty sure it's the latter.
I will never make another appointment here.

I was 15 minutes late for my appointment and called to confirm if I could still come in as I was running late. Ms Katrina tells me "sure". When I garage my car and go in 5 minutes later she tells me I was too late and would not honor my appointment. I asked her why she could not have told me so on the phone and prevented me paying for garaging my car and she turned into this rude monster , being so rude and aggressive with me and made several abusive comments and gestures. When asked to talk to the owner, she said she was in charge and I was stuck talking to her as she was the boss there. The sad part is that the spa is good but she spoils the whole atmosphere and will be responsible for the spa sinking. My other friends who go there have also complained similarly about her obvious rudeness and patronizing air. She should be let go and more customers will definitely come and return back!!

This is the most unfriendly spa ever, the front desk person or manager as she calls herself makes mistakes with the scheduling and then yells at clients. The most NOn -zen atmosphere for a seemingly good spa. If they replace the manager and the scheduling staff, this spa could still survive and attract customers otherwise they are doomed

This was my first time getting a facial and it was wonderful. Anna assessed my skin issues and provided the information I needed to keep my skin clear and healthy. Of course the extractions made me uncomfortable and left my skin a little red, but the next day I saw an improvement in the appearance of my skin.

This was my first visit to Red and White Spa. The entire staff was friendly. I visited during Wellness Week and had a Swedish massage with hot stone and a deep cleansing facial. I enjoyed both treatments. I would visit again especially since the have great deals. Only reason I didn't give them a 5 on overall rating is because it was very cold in the spa. Yes, it was cools outside but, how can you truly enjoy a facial if you are freezing! They have to find a way to fix that during colder months.

Booked a Hot Stone Swedish Message and it felt wonderful. I was handled by Ivana who really know what she's doing. The pressure she put was just right and even her voice was soothing. She didn't yack through the whole process, which I'm glad, I hate hearing people talk while I'm trying to find some peace and quiet. Overall good experience, this isn't the first time I got a massage here with Ivana, would come back again.

I booked a swedish hot stone massage. The spa itself is small, nothing fancy. The girl at the front desk, Aya was very kind but slow, Im not sure if it was a language issue or what. But I had to repeat my phone number a couple times and she took forever to take down my name, email etc. and book my appointment. That said, my massage was amazing! I re-booked another appointment with Ivonne and I am going for another massage next week. This woman was thorough, she didnt just leave the stones on my body to warm my muscles, she actually moved the stones around dispersing heat on my weary muscles while massaging me with the stones. I feel like her technique is a plus because some places are very lazy with a hot stone massage, where the stones are left on your body and there goes half of your massage time.

Iwona my masseuse is warm, pleasant, and blessed with magical hands.
I have experienced many spa experiences but know when I want the real deal, I make an appointment to have all of the tension in my body alleviate by my masseuse Iwona.
NYC has so many choices this is at the top of the list.

My girlfriend took me at Red and White Spa for my BDay. The place was really nice and the stuff working there was very professional and welcoming. I had to choose one of the services from the menu because she prepaid it as a gift. I really wanted a facial but decided to go with the massage because I had a back tension. My massage therapist was polish , I think her name was Ivonne. I gotta tell you - it was the best massage I`ve ever had in my life. The way she did it, her technique was very unusual and helped to release my back tension. Also, she put these hot stones on the area where I had pain. Overall, I had a great experience and definitely will be back to see her again.

Disastrous Microdermabrasion

I made an appointment for a facial and microdermabrasion through spafinder for "deal days." Each was only 50 dollars. But, I wouldn't return to this spa if they were free. I had never had microdermabrasion before and trusted the facialist when when told me that it "should hurt" and that I "should have scabs" on my face afterward. It was, however, extraordinarily painful and in response she kept trotting out cliches like "no pain, no gain" and "Rome wasn't built in a day." I called my dermatologist directly afterward and he informed me that I should not experience the kind of pain or damage that she had inflicted--that I most definitely should not scab after microdermabrasion and that such rough treatment could do permanent damage.
The facial was perfectly adequate, but the extractions were very painful after the microdermabrasion had left my skin raw. When the facialist wasn't speaking in coded cliches, she was criticizing me for everything from my facial care regime (understandable) to my birth control choices (utterly inappropriate). When she left me for 20 minutes while she gossiped with the receptionist and returned to say "you just can't relax, can you," I realized that all I wanted to do was leave. A terrible experience.

Usually I'm not a huge Spa fanatic but, a couple of my friends who all attend "Red & White Spa" on a regular basis persuaded me to try it out for myself. Let me tell you, I am a brand new "Red & White Spa" devotee.
The staff is really nice, professional, and has great suggestions on maintenance upkeep . I tried one of their nail packages out, the Red Spa Manicure/Pedicure. The manicure is great for people like me who are always on the go; 30-min was all it took to make me feel brand new again!! The pedicure was just was fabulous; 30 min of heavenly treatment. My nails haven't looked this good in quite some time!
I love to garden, so my hands are always covered in dirt and soil, this was a great way to bring them to their old soft and pristine state. Thank you! I will most definitely be coming back again!

I honestly can't think of one thing I would have changed as far as the spa is concerned. The parafango wrap is like hot silk brushed on to your legs and the masseus would let me know softly everytime she was about to do the next step and what it was. Ana did my 1st ever Brazilian wax, and although my friends warned me of how painful it would be, she did it as gently, quick and efficient as I could ever imagine and I will definitely will be going back to her for my future wax's. Since I was always being tended to I asked my friends how there experience was out side of the treatment rooms and they loved it as well. They said that Hilal (works the desk) was especially attentive to all there needs and fun to be around. The only thing that was unpleasant was the extraction during the facial, but because the person doing it was so so thorough, I knew I got my moneys worth. Thank you again so much and you will be seeing me in the future.

Wanted to share- now that they have those huge special saving prices I go there twice a week- they are super nice, which is very refreshing for SOHO- atmosphere is very relaxing and welcoming, soft music, tons of flowers and they even serve organic hot teas!
Facials are the best in town and i always go for customized one-their staff is doing a superior job, no irritation, fast and gorgeous. Massages are my absolute favorite- they have that hot stone one- a real treat in the middle of winter!
Highly recommend to everyone!Ask for specials:)
