The spa was very clean and inviting. I was greeted immediately by Jasmine. She was helpful on the phone in helping me decide on the services I would choose for my day.
I decided on the Take Me Away #2. And there was no stress all the way. I really wanted to relax and be taken care of and the staff at Eshe did just that. It was just what I wanted. Thanks!

Had a massage, was ok. Prices were high, and facilities are a little strange in building. Things were clean, but massage was just ok. Atmosphere was not that great. Lights burned out, sandals were both left feet, some of these weird things. Staff was nice.

I visited Eshe at it previous location. so I was not sure what to expect since this was an interim location.
But I was pleasantly surprised. It was quaint and very neat and clean. I had a Hot stone massage, a vitamin C facial, and a much needed Spa pedicure. Maggie did my facial again. Angelyn did my massage and Toby did my pedicure all very nice. I'm glad I tried Eshe again. Thanks!

I received a Spa Finder gift and chose Eshe because it was close to my South Loop home. I went on a Sunday afternoon. It was very quiet and I may have been the only customer at the time.
The staff was very welcoming and I had a lovely, relaxing Swedish massage by Angela.

I originally went to Eshe Day Spa in 2009 as a Valentine's gift to my husband. We were the last appointments of the day but you would never know it. Everyone greeted us as though we were the first customers of the day and they did not rush through the services. I then surprised my husband in February 2010 with a spa day for his birthday and he came home stating that the message was the best that he has ever experienced. We are well traveled individuals and always go to the spa whenever we travel so this spoke volumes. I can not wait to book my next spa day at the new location.

A friend and I visited for facials, massage, manicures, and lunch. The overall atmosphere was relaxing - nice decor, quiet and soothing, delicious cucumber water. The facials and manicures were fantastic, and the massage was pretty good as well.
Even though we were very satisfied with the services, it was the final touches and small details that left a bad taste in our mouths. First of all, we arrived exactly on time, but they complained that we were late even though we were not told to come early when we booked the appointment. So, since changing time is NOT built into the overall appointment times, the spa did not allow us to eat the lunch that was supposed to be included in our package. Then, when we were checking out, the receptionist was rude (not even a hint of a smile on her face) and took a really long time to check us out.
Although the services at Eshe were very nice, the service left much to be desired.

I don't visit spas THAT often however enough to know what I like. I like this place. It is downtown, very close to shopping and great restaurants. The spa is welcoming, comfortable and the staff is accommodating.
Melissa gave me the best facial! I don't usually do them because I am afraid it will irritate my skin. The products she used were of the highest quality and she used them expertly! She was very gentle -thanks!
Maggie is the best. She applied the pressure perfectly and constantly made sure I was comfortable. Maggie was concerned about my "problem areas" and I walked out a different person!
Nilda gave me the best manicure I ever had! My hands and nails have never looked better! I almost hate to wear gloves!
I highly recommend this spa because their packages are such a good value! We had a wonderful lunch, exceptional service and were constantly looked after. I can't wait to return once we're back in Chicago!

In a time like this every dollar that I spend now is important to me. Spas have been a great source of relaxation and stress relief for me. I came to Eshe really stressed from work and really needed some me time and I got it from the time I walked in someone was looking after me (Thank You!) I was greeted immediately, offered something to drink and went in to the relaxation area to begin my experience, I had a facial with Melissa and I must say it was one of the best I have ever had and the extras were fab. like the foot soak before and the warm towel thing she did during the facial. I thought the place was beautiful and very nice I will visit regularly because I like being treated well.

My husband and I went for couples massages while staying downtown for date night. The overall experience was pretty good. The couple room was a little cramped and chilly but the massages were good. Would go back and would recommend to others.

I came in to Chicago to visit my family for the weekend and decided to take a little time away for myself I heard about Eshe from another family member that had been there and loved it. I must say that I totally agree with her. I had the most painless wax service that I have ever had (no double dipping here) and the facial (Anti-aging) really made my skin glow! And I really enjoyed having people wait on me with a smile. Overall I had the best experience with a wonderful group of people and a beautiful, relaxing atmosphere.

I've been to quite a few spas and this was definitely a different experience for me! First - the spa looks like old office space that has been converted to a spa....not the same feel as a typical relaxing spa experience! The bathrooms weren't clean, didn't have soap, and there's no showers offered prior to your service. I entered into a room for my massage and it was literally a shower room --- tiles everywhere, large shower heads above me. They apparently offer a shower massage but also use the room for regular massage services as well...somewhat strange to me! However, despite the ambience, the massage was VERY relaxing and the therapist did a fantastic job. It's just that I prefer having an overall wonderful and relaxing spa experience.

I have had the opportunity to visit a variety of spas over the years and was the most satisfied with Eshe. The staff were all friendly and informative of what they were going to do and how long. Every person who I encountered, whether they were working with me or not, smiled and were very friendly. I don't live in Chicago, however I would visit again next time I am in town!

I was in Chicago for a girls w/e and to see the Madonna concert. We arrived at Eshe and were taken care of right away, it was a very comfortable and inviting environment. We each had a Swedish Massage, a pedicure and we both agreed the Aveda Facial was the best part. I was concerned about having a facial since I have extremely senistive skin and rosacea. They listened to my concerns and I had no trouble, my skin looks greats. I felt like a princess afterwards. The staff was sincere and very friendly. They did exactly what they said they would. Later on that day I realized that I'd lost my necklace, a Valentines day present from my husband. My girlfriend called the spa and they said it hadn't been turned in. I was devasted. I could hardly speak later that evening when Audrey called me and said she'd found the necklace and would return it to me. I am so impressed with the professionalism and integrity of this spa, I only wish I lived in Chicago so that I could go more often. I very highly recommend Eshe Day Spa.

I received a spafinder gift card for my birthday from my boyfriend. I was able to get a massage, nails and hair cut. I loved the total experience. Everyone was friendly and I was able to get out in time to go to dinner and a play that night.

I got the 1/2 day take me away package. The atmosphere was very relaxing. The staff was very knowlegeable and curteous. The service overall was great. There was a problem with construction going on on the floor below interrupting my message and facial, but I tried my best to get past it. I would have appreciated some adjustments because of that, but it does not change my opinion of the spa as a whole. I am definitely recommending Eshe to my friends.
