1 Day Away - Day Spa

Jaja Brady is an excellent esthetician! I have been to several people and she is by far the best! I highly recommend getting skin care services with her.

In the middle of a shopping plaza, and you could hear the traffic and car alarms going off. The massage was mediocre and very oily. The facial was awful and cause a major break out. No relaxation room and no facilities to utilize. Not a Day Spa experience.

From the very beginning the service and attention I have received at 1 Day Away has been amazing. Not only have my results been terriffic, but I am always happy to go back because of the friendly and inviting atmosphere that the owner provides. I would definitely recommend 1 Day Away to anyone!

I normally am not inclined to post reviews/ feedback but 1 Day Away is simply too good to keep secret. I have been visiting this Spa for the last three years. The service has always been excellent, and the variety and efficacy of treatments is awesome. I have tried the Arasys (firming/ toning of body), Perfector (facial toning), and Elastin (facial collagen rebuilding)-- my new favorite! Susan, the proprietor, is very professional and highly knowledgable regarding skincare. I recommend that anyone with skin aging concerns visit 1 Day Away and experience the amazing results that can be obtained through these advanced treatments. You will be so pleased!

I am an athlete so I experience bad lower back pains and my muscles get sore very often. I have gone to chiropractors in the past in order to alleviate the pains, but it's so expensive and never offered an enjoyable experience. I thought I would try going to a spa so I chose 1 Day Away. They made it a point to target my problem areas and provided a very relaxed environment. They keep track of where my personal pains exist so every time I go in they know what needs special attention. I think people may have found the owner as rude in the previous reviews just because they were having a bad day :b The owner is always very kind to me and all the customers I see in the spa.

Came here using my first SpaFinder gift certificate and enjoyed my massage. Returned a year later and I don't know what happened. Maybe new ownership? The phone rang through my entire massage and had to listen to all calls and answering machine going off through the entire appointment. Massage itself was nice, but pointless if I leave stressed out from the noise. Won't go back.

I went for a massage and the therapist complained the whole time about how overworked she was and how demanding the owner was. The phone kept ringing and the therapist was very tense about it because according to her, the owner expects her to answer the phone WHILE giving a massage! Half way through the massage, the owner shows up and chews her out after she calls her out of the room. When the massage was finally over, the owner didn't say one thing to me and had a very sour attitude. It was the least relaxing time I've ever had at a day spa. In fact, it was stressful! I will NEVER go back to this spa.

I went to this spa for a massage and the girl that was going to give me mine ended up having to take her car in for an oil change. The massage therapist that worked on my was awful and not only that it was loud in my room and not relaxing at all. I told the owner about it when I was leaving and she didn't seem to care. I will NEVER go there again. It was by far the worst spa experience I've ever had.

From the moment I stepped into 1 Day Away, everyone on staff was very friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere was so unique. They have beautifully themed treatment rooms, and a cozy seating area for people to relax while waiting for their appointment. I loved how they completely understood all of my concerns, and had effective solutions on everything that I was looking for. I especially liked their competitive pricing, and the fact that their procedures are all non invasive. The owner Susan was warm and hospitable. She made me feel very comfortable. She was a fountain of knowledge about all of the treatments and products they offer. All in all, I would recommend 1 Day Away to anyone who is looking for a way to look and feel both relaxed and completely rejuvinated while improving their appearance! I can't wait for my next treatment!

I previously had been to this spa, but stopped going because the person who was supposed to do my facial flaked on me--she never showed up! When I got a Spa Finder gift certificate, I decided to give them another try since their prices were good. Again, I was terribly mistaken. Crystal, who did my massage, was amazing and friendly, but Susan, the owner is completely rude and has the most horrendous customer service I have ever received. I agree with the previous person's post regarding her negative attitude--do not give her your business. A spa day should be about relaxing so go somewhere else.

I received one of the best massages at this spa. The massage therapist, Crystal, was very friendly and was truly concerned with my health and well-being. Their focus at this spa is total relaxation and wellness. They have also lowered their prices to make their services more available to a larger clientele. They are a small spa, so there is no relaxation room or changing rooms and lockers. But, what they lack in space, they make-up for, in excellent customer service. They have a nice little boutique area in their waiting room up front that has reasonably price products like Mychelle, Arbonne and Dr. Schwab, to name a few. There were also items that were discounted. Overall, this day spa is a nice little find in the shopping center in Rancho Penasquitos. I plan on being a repeat customer! By-the-way, Susan, who owns and runs the day spa, is very nice and accommodating. The previous reviewer may have caught her on a very off-day.

I had heard about Endermologie and Susan was able to answer all my questions. I signed up for a package and it feels great! The machine gives a great massage and gets rid of my cellulite - it's perfect!

1 Day Away is a Day Spa totally dedicated to customer service. Friendly and courteous, they answered all my questions and gave me a great deal on a combination of Laser Dermology and Endermologie for my cellulite problem. They also just added massage.

After passing 1 Day Away a couple times I finally went in and it was my lucky day! Susan, the owner, gave me a great tour, answered all my questions and I immediately signed up for Perfector, a non invasive face lift. It worked miracles! My friends have no idea how I am looking much younger!
