  With its wine country setting in the heart of Niagara on the Lake, the CAA/AAA Four-Diamond White Oaks Resort & Spa offers a destination-type experience in the popular tourism region of southern Ontario. The 13-acre resort stresses health in all aspects, from its award-winning dining to its conference facilities to its private 115,000-square-foot fitness club. At the center of wellness is the modernly designed Spa at White Oaks, a 15,000-square-foot complex totaling 17 treatment rooms, including a couple’s suite with a fireplace.

Bathed in soothing shades of cream, taupe and silver, the Spa at White Oaks is designed to help guests achieve total wellbeing. The 15,000-square-foot spa has 17 treatment rooms, as well as a comprehensive lineup of amenities such as whirlpools, steam rooms, saunas and cold plunge pools. There are also two relaxation lounges and a dual suite, where romantics can become closer with tandem treatments like the Couples Reconnect ritual. The service begins with a milk bath, fused with rose petals in a deep soaking whirlpool, followed by a side-by-side massage and ends with a snack set beside the suite’s fireplace.

Spa services include massage, skincare, nail care, body scrubs and wraps utilizing natural ingredients. Also on the menu are advanced body treatments like slimming, AHA exfoliating and idebenone-peel anti-aging.

The Niagara on the Lake resort provides an extensive display of activities year round, from hiking to horseback riding to fishing. A major draw of the property is its 115,000-square-foot Club at White Oaks; totaling three levels, the fitness center provides personal training, Pilates reformer equipment and a variety of classes, including Zumba, Aquatic Zumba and Barre Pilates. Thirty yoga classes per week are available in the hot yoga studio; there are also multiple tennis, squash and racquetball courts, endurance and energy labs and power cycle, Pilates and Kinesis training studios, plus a heated indoor swimming pool. Golf fanatics can be accommodated at the 27-hole Royal Niagara championship course.

Weddings, which can be held in the resort’s gardens overlooking the Niagara Escarpment, can be as intimate (from 15 invitees) to as large (up to 500) as desired. International Association of Conference Center-recognized meeting space includes an amphitheater.
