Sandalwood Sage Day Spa

I have been coming to this Spa for years now. The services are wonderful and have improved over the years. They recently extended the 50 minute services to a full hour which is great. The prices did go up but well worth it. They added a lot more during the services too. I go to two massage therapist monthly but i have tried many of the therapist there and they are wonderful. My daughter and I go there for many holidays to spend time together. They make the experience unforgettable!

ON MY LAST VISIT IN JUNE 2012 THERE WAS A SMALL FIRE AND MY SERVICE WAS CUT SHORT BY 15-20 MINUTES. I ALONG WITH 2 DAUGTERS HAD TO ASK FOR THE RECEPTIONIST TO NOTE THAT IN HER COMPUTER SO WE WOULD GET OUR FULL HR NEXT TIME. I REALLY DO LOVE THIS SPA, MY FAMILY GOES THERE ALL THE TIME BUT, I FELT A LITTLE TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF THIS LAST TIME. MY ONE DAUGHTER GETS A PREGNANCY MASSAGE, SHE PAYS MORE THAN WE DO FOR OUR(1 HR) AND GETS LOTS LESS IN SERVICES. SHE WAS ACTUALLY DONE 10 MINUTES BEFORE THE FIRE (JUST A SMALL ONE IN THE MICROWAVE) I FELT THE OWNER SHOULD HAVE REACHED OUT THE NEXT DAY TO LET US KNOW HOW SORRY SHE WAS FOR THE INCONVENIENCE. WE CERTAINLY WERE NOT RELAXED AFTERWARD

I had so many great massages elsewhere but def not at sandalwood and oil or cream they use STINKS!!

First I waited a very long time to even be acknowledged. Then when the hot sone massage began, it was smelly & moldy. They tried to put essential oils in to mask the smell, but It kept coming back. Not friendly at he desk either. Will not return.

I HAVE BEEN TO THIS SPA SEVERAL TIMES AND I ENJOY EACH TIME THAT I GO. THE STAFF WAS FRIENDLY AND THE ENVIRONMENT WAS CALMING.

From the moment I walked in the door the staff was so warm and accommodating that it put me very much at ease. The atmosphere was relaxing and the rooms were so comfortable and classy that I was really able to relax. I received a Swedish Massage and I was in heaven. I could not have had a better experience.

I went in for my 1st micro-exfoliation treatment, and was very pleased with not only the experience, but the results. I saw my boss after almost 6 weeks off ( i'm a teacher) and she remarked that i looked younger! I plan on continuing these treatments as they are not only relaxing but a good alternative to the more invasive things to help skin look tighter and younger.

I recently went to Sandalwood & Sage Day Spa and had an incredible time. They just redecorated their entire spa and it looks beautiful! They have been sending out emails with new promotions and I had to take advantage of the great deals they were having. I was able to book a Swedish massage and a facial each for $55 -- what a steal! The staff was beyond professional and accommodating, and the massage and facial were the best I've ever had! I definitely recommend Sandalwood and Sage!

What a great experience! My daughter had her Bachelorette Party on a Saturday night with 12 of her family and friends. They haven't stopped talking about what a wonderful time and experience they each had. It was something for everyone..the pregnant mom, the teenager, the yuppies, the free spirited, etc. They loved their treatments, the staff was sooo professional. They had a wonderful room with beautiful music, flowers, special waters and brought in food, wine, soda, and goodies to dip in the delicious chocolate fountain which filled all of the rooms while you were getting your massage. They even had a psychic and all of the girls had a wonderful experience with her. She was"right on the money" with all of them. They were treated "royally" with their robes and slippers and stayed very late ... they were never rushed. it was a great time had by all!! They said it was the best Bachelorette Party some of them ever went to. Where could you go and get treated as special as the bride-to-be?? Recommend it highly.

during my stress-filled month of school, finals, bridal party planning, and a thesis paper due around the corner, sandalwood saved my sanity! I had an hour back massage and during that hour I was reminded how to breath again! (something I seemed to have forgotten how to do) i had to fight to keep myself awake during my massage! I will def. go back

Every time I visit Sandalwood and Sage Day Spa, I find total relaxation both mentally and physically! The new management is a boon to the spa, oh happy spa days for me :)) Grace M

Ive been goin to sandalwood for years, its a beautiful spa. Even though there is always some sort of a problem at the front desk i always enjoyed my treatments. Recently i booked with the girl i always go to and they put me with someone else, claiming that shes not here today. This other therapist was ok but you can tell she was very nervous which made it uncomfortable for me. Another experience that i had recently was them not excepting my gift card for about 3 weeks. This was due to so some sort of a computer problem, which wasnt mine. I will no longer be going to this spa i feel they are very unperfessional.

I've been to Sandalwood about 3 or 4 times. Initially I went because it was close to my house and fairly priced. I was greeted warmly and offered tea and a magazine while I waited, and soft music was playing. WAIT I sure did, though... they began my appointment 40 minutes late, and for that whole time I got to listen to the receptionist dealing with angry people on the phone and in person. My massage was very nice and relaxing. HOWEVER, after I dressed, left my massage room, paid and then checked my phone for messages as I was getting into my car... I saw the time on the clock. I had paid for a 1 hr massage and was only massaged for 45 minutes! I was disappointed, but I chalked it up to a bad day there and my mistake for not noticing sooner and speaking up. I went back a second time for the same reasons- location and price. However, the second time THE SAME THING HAPPENED... 40-45 minute massage when I was paying for an hour, and I did not begin on time either. I learned the trick... because they are always behind and starting appointments late, they skim a few minutes off your services here and there to try to get caught up or prevent a major delay in their day. SORRY- NOT ON MY DIME. I spoke to the receptionist, but no manager was available. A manager was supposed to call me at home, but never did. The next day the receptionist (who was very nice) called on her behalf to give me a free 1 hour massage for the trouble. I honestly don't know why I went back AGAIN, this time for a massage and facial, but I wasn't even pleased with the treatments at that point. It seems nice to pay $40-50 for something that is normally much more elsewhere, but when you leave feeling like you LOST money because the service wasn't good, it's not worth the savings. This place is fine for a quick massage when your a bit tense and stressed, but I wouldn't book any pre-wedding/holiday/party events here.

I truly enjoy each and every experience I have at Sandalwood. The staff is friendly and truly listen to and focus on your concerns. I have my favorites there but I have never had a bad experience with the staff or a service. I love the facials, body wraps and massages. I ask for gift certificates for every holiday and my family loves that buying them on-line or on the phone is so easy.

I was extremely dissapointed in the service and the treatment. I had gone with a friend and she was not happy either.The woman that has taken care of me, left me in the middle of another treatment and told me she was going on break.Very unprofessinal. The worst spa I have ever been to.

My mother and I got facials, massages and foot treatments and I have to say that everything was so relaxing and good. The staff is very friendly , professional and attentive. I tell all my friends about this place! Yasmin

I took my bridal party there to relax the day before my wedding and it was a mess! As I was the bride and had other appointments that day, I asked to be helped b4 my girls (they didn't mind!)- the receptionist snapped and said they're very busy that day and they'll get to me whenever (mind you, I made the appointment 1 month in advance). Then she ended up scheduling me last - it seems out of spite even though I was very polite to her - and I missed two of my appointments! Also, they lost my clothes while I was in the massage room - it took 15 minutes for them to figure out who took it away. For the most part, my bridal party was very unhappy with the service - we're all devout spa-goers and we all agreed the massage was very poor - and the facials merely average.

I went cause I had a gift certificate. I went back cause I got a great massage. The 2nd time the massage was even better than the 1st, so I thought it was worth the review. I also got a great facial by a girl named Joan. The decor is nice the place is clean but the quality of the therapists is excellent.

This was by far the worst spa experience I've ever had. I will vouch for the previous review posted about Sandalwood regarding appointment scheduling (or the lack there of). Came in with a friend of mine only to learn they only booked 1 of our appointments. While the front desk girl was pleasant, the manager who came to 'clear up' the situation was loud,rude, & obnoxious. Not much of a spa experience to walk into. Don't be fooled by their lower than average NYC prices. You really get what you paid for here! And it's NOT worth it. Expected to get a nice Hot Stone massage just as pictured on their website; however, no stones were layed on my back or in my hands. The rocks were so hot they almost burned my skin. Just an awful experience. Will never return.

I didn't even get to find out about this spa because they never booked my appointment. I made an appointment for two people and they lost it. I even gave them my credit card number to book the appointment when I called. The service was horrible. The receptionist acted like it was no big deal that they made such a careless mistake. They didn't even offer anything for the mistake they made, and could care less if I came back or not. This was the worst experience I ever had at a spa in my life.
