About PALACE LUZERN
With a lakeside promenade along Lake Lucerne and spectacular views of the Swiss Alps, the PALACE LUZERN is an elegant, sophisticated, neoclassical jewel, and in its lobby cool, contemporary furnishings contrast with gleaming black and white marble floors, opulent tapestries, and a massive chandelier. In June 2005, it opened the Palace Spa, a sleek and subtly-designed facility enhanced with Japanese-style gardens where you will find a fitness center, a steam bath, crystal steam room, saunas, lifestyle showers, ice fountains, and peaceful relaxation areas. In addition to pampering ESPA treatments, it offers the SwissClincsCheckup, a preventive medical program.

The Palace Spa provides a retreat from today's hectic living, a welcome escape to restore balance to mind and body. Spa interiors combine a contemporary vibe with the hotel's neo-classic exteriors. Reflecting nature, the smoked oak floors and rugged limestone walls are awash with subtle lighting and warm earthy tones, while wet treatment areas feature glass mosaics and pebble flooring. Japanese-style gardens throughout the corridors add to the soothing ambience. The atmosphere is gently permeated with delicate aromas and harmonious music, seducing the senses and allowing mind and body to rest and relax. There are six treatment rooms in the 800-square-meter spa, in addition to a fitness room and separate wellness areas for women and men.
Time stands still and stress disappears as you are enveloped in the nurturing skill of a staff who will tailor each individual spa experience personally for you. Inspired by ancient cultures worldwide, ESPA has created a treatment concept that merges techniques and philosophies from around the world into a potent blend of treatments for our time. Every ESPA treatment is a totally caring experience and the ultimate in well feeling.
Committed to the quality, purity, and integrity of natural ingredients, scientifically advanced ESPA natural skin-care products are combined with progressive therapy techniques to deliver treatments with outstanding results.

Facilities & Amenities
One has the choice of a variety of Alpine excursions by boat, cogwheel railways, and aerial cableways, many starting very near the hotel. The local and seasonal attractions include a sandy beach (Lido Lucerne), paragliding, and golf (there are several courses within 20-45 minutes). Lucerne also has miles of picturesque scenery, lush landscape, and trails that invite hikers and bike riders. Or you can simply mellow out on the boardwalk, gazing at the spectacular panorama of the city, lake, and mountains.
The town is a cultural center (home of a museum honoring Richard Wagner, the Picasso Museum, and the Rosengart Collection), and many festivals take place throughout the year, including the Lucerne Festival. Actually made up of three different festivals (Ostern in the spring, Sommer in the summer, and Piano in the fall), the Lucerne Festival attracts more than 100,000 music connoisseurs annually with top orchestras from all over the world. Performances generally take place in the famous orchestra hall, built by Jean Nouvel. The Transit Museum is another local attraction, and Lucerne's charming Old Town is a brief stroll away. There is also a casino next door.

Rooms & Dining
All of the 136 guest rooms overlook the Lake and the Swiss Alps and some suites have private terraces. The furnishings are a plush and eclectic mixture of modern chrome and glass with traditional pieces. Color schemes include a subtle mix of peach and cream or rich blue and pale yellow with plain, pale walls, and wireless LAN, ISDN, Pay TV, and voice mail are among the amenities.
There are three restaurants on the property. Jasper, chic and minimalist, classic but contemporary, is known for Chef Ulf Braunert's inventive dishes, and a wine list that GaultMillau called "dazzling." Les Artistes, the belle époque-style garden restaurant on the promenade overlooking Lake Lucerne, serves international cuisine and is illuminated by sun in daylight and torchlight in the evening. In addition to Palace Spa Food, the menu also offers Mood Food, sensory selections meant to lift your spirits.
