Under the vision of Dutch designer Marcel Wanders, the hotel’s provocative aesthetic mirrors Sleeping Beauty’s castle, captured by a majestic, soaring lobby that leads to a signature “floating staircase,” black- and gold-patterned custom furniture, brass bell-shaped lighting fixtures and floor-to-ceiling windows affording bay views. agua Spa at Mondrian offers an enchanting experience in itself, with a spacious garden terrace and soothing treatment menu. As the only hotel on South Beach with its own marina, Mondrian also provides plenty of activities when it’s time to play.

The stylish agua at Mondrian South Beach continues with the hotel’s Sleeping Beauty theme; created by Marcel Wanders, interiors center around a dazzling mirrored ball desk and flawless white design; stately columns and mani/pedi thrones add to the spa’s whimsical yet sophisticated atmosphere. Amenities like the sauna and spacious terrace overlooking garden views are an ideal prelude to one of the rejuvenating treatments, which include signature staples like the Milk and Honey massage and the Sjal Blue Kashmire – Saphir Facial. An extensive array of massage, body and skincare treatments is also featured on the spa menu. Agua is proud to be one of only two spas in the U.S. to carry SJAL products.

When it comes to relaxation and invigoration, Mondrian South Beach reigns supreme. Guests will discover a beautiful bayfront pool area, encased by foliage-curtain cabanas, numerous lounge pillows, gardens and a labyrinthine trail that leads to additional relaxation areas. A separate pool is available for vacationing families, or visitors may want to check out Mondrian Marina – one of only three marinas in South Beach – for jet skiing, kayaking and other water sport opportunities. On-land activities include cycling; complimentary bikes are offered to hotel guests on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The 24-hour gym, overlooking picturesque city and water vistas, can be found on the third floor, and guests are welcome to schedule personal training sessions with Equinox experts. Yoga is also available upon request. Come evening, shimmering sunset views over the downtown Miami skyline, seen from the indoor/outdoor Sunset Lounge, are not to be missed.
