The principles of feng shui were applied to create the 14,000-square-foot full-service spa, which has the feeling of an elegant but comfortable country estate. The color palette is blue and yellow, the materials are all natural, from wood to marble, and a favorite spot is the intimate garden terrace, with a water feature and fireplace. The spa has a whirlpool, steam and sauna rooms, Swiss showers with 14 shower heads, and a Vichy shower, in addition to a deluxe spa suite with a private outdoor whirlpool tub, steam showers, and a treatment room for two. Spa highlights also include a boutique and the Howard Jones Salon.

The spa is committed to authenticity and the holistic model of wellness, and many of the nature-based treatments, such as the Tides and Stones Massage and Sea to Spa Body Drench Ritual, are inspired by the ocean landscape. The popular Orange Blossom Massage combines Swedish techniques with an organic orange oil and calendula flower blend. Additional healing treatments, derived from ancient cultures across the globe, include organic facials, massage, microdermabrasion, waxing, body scrubs and wraps, and couple's services.

The 2,500-square-foot fitness area within the spa features Life Fitness strength training equipment, Star Track treadmills, elliptical machines, upright and recumbent bikes, and a stair stepper, all which come equipped with flat-screen TVs.

I came here for a bachelorette party a few months ago and it was great! They accommodated all the girls at the same time and made us feel special! The facilities are gorgeous, there were all kinds of refreshments like teas and waters, and overall a relaxing atmosphere. We hung out in the jacuzzi tub first, then went into the steam room before our treatments. I had a facial which felt great! Thanks for a wonderful time!

I recently had a deep tissue at Laguna Cliffs. My massage therapist asked me a few questions and explained the process and oils she would be using. I found this helpful and interesting. The massage was relaxing and therapeutic at the same time. The resort itself was very relaxing and it felt like I was on some tropical vacation. The staff was prompt and courteous. Would definitely return to escape and relax.

After searching for Spa deals, I came accross a "Warming Costal Stone Massage" (which included a hot oil scalp treatment) I couldn't pass up that deal! The treatment was AmAzInG! The massage therapist was so friendly and professional. She really knew what she was doing. I've had a LOT of massages and this was the best I've had so far! The facilities were so relaxing and clean. I will definitely be coming back to this Spa, and I'll be bring my girlfriends.

My new 'Ritual'

It would appear that the word Ritual is becoming over used with in the spa world and I find is often used in the wrong context. However, after a friend encouraged me to go to the Laguna Cliffs I decided to indulge in there Signature Ritual. Let's just say that I have found my new 'ritual' in life, after an hour and a half of being scrubbed, wrapped, massaged and generally hydrated I didn't want to leave - and what's more I even got a discount because I live locally. I'l be back!
