I basically just get massages here and I have been coming back regularly for three years to get massages from Jessica. Ask for her when you make your appointment and you won't be sorry. Yes, the atmosphere is not plush but it is clean and convenient and very reasonably priced. An excellent combination which allows me to get frequent massages instead of going to a high-priced spa once or twice a year for a mediocre massage.

I went there for a special last year. I encountered several problems: 1st: I couldn't get in, the front doors were locked! No one told me to park in the back & use the back door. 2nd: The therapist was late & had no idea I had booked a "special" 3rd: My technician was so arrogant & unprofessional that she Refused to respect my wishes for a slow, gentle. deep, relaxing massage. She told me: "That's not how I do it" and proceeded to plunge into a knotted muscle with such force that she hurt me. I left with only 1/2 of my "package" completed, but they charged me the Full Amount...and the technician kept the remaining amount of my Spa Finder certificate for her tip. I was not allowed to speak to a manager & when I explained my problem to the receptionist the therapist began to argue with me & defend herself. Several hours later by phone, I was able to speak with the manager, I was not offered a refund for unfinished services nor the tip. I was given a free 30 min. massage with the manager and an opportunity to uprgaed to 1 hour for another $50. I have not used the so called "Free" coupon, I Never will & I will NEVER go back. I am a Licensed Healer Practitoner & massuse, I Respect my clients preferences.

I'm not a spa pro. I don't go to spas on a regular basis. Urban retreat was actually the first time I got a massage. It was...okay. average. I think that's the best way I would put it. As by my friend's recommendation I asked for the owner and she was good. So I will pass on the same recommendation, ask for the owner. As some of the other reviews mentioned, the decor of the place isn't spectacular but it's comfortable. If you're not looking for anything fancy, then I would recommend.

I've only been to this spa once for a massage, so I can't really speak for the other services. The therapists are friendly and knowledgeable in their field.. Would recommend to anyone who is looking for a great massage at a simple no frills spa.

This spa has a professional masseau. Very through, she asked which location needed more attention.

Massage was very good. They have some really good therapist, you may have to go through a few to find one that can meet your needs.

You get what you pay for. If you're looking for a no frills hour massage for $50, this is an OK place. The staff turnover at the facility is high, I think that this is the first place of employment for many newly educated massuses. I've had some GREAT massages, and I've had some truly poor ones. It all depends on who you get. My advise is to ask for the manager or asst. manager, and you usually get a descent massage. They have long opening hours, and it's easy to get an appointment.

My appointment was at 12:15 and she came to get me at 12:25 by the time we started it was 12:30 she finished at 1:20--so I was shorted a good 10 minutes I paid and mentioned it to her and she argued with me. It is a small day spa, no fancy decoration nor other facilities you may enjoy. The clock was 5:05pm when I was arranged in the service room (although I arrived 10 minutes earlier than my appointment at 5pm); and I had another 5 minutes to change. Yet they ended the service right at 6pm. The massage itself was not bad, as long as you don't mind being stolen for 10 minutes of the service. You can give it a try.
