Sclerotherapy is a procdure to eliminate spider veins on the legs.It involves injection a solution (FDA approved Asclera) directly into the vein.The solution irritates the lining of the blood vessel causing it to swell and stick together and fade from view.Generally more than one treatment, about a month apart is needed, but it depends on how extensive the spider veins are.For best results, compression stockings are suggested for the first two weeks.
