  Located within the Jones Building at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene, Texas, the MedSpa at Hendrick offers a tranquil setting for relaxation and rejuvenation. The moment guests walk through the doors, the team strives to do its best to provide a peaceful retreat from the busy world, where guests can discover optimal wellness, inside and out. With a belief in the power of renewal, the MedSpa at Hendrick aims to provide guests with an environment, staff and services that reflect its mission to inspire healing of body, mind and soul and to help guests live beautifully.

  The 1,800-square-foot spa features five treatment rooms and a retro-modern design. Classic spa treatments and clinically proven cosmetic procedures designed to leave guests feeling refreshed, renewed and radiant are offered, and SkinCeuticals, Obagi, Naturopathica, Belli Skin Care, Spa Ritual and Jane Iredale Mineral Makeup products are available for purchase.

Whitney V. Mascorro, MD

Whitney V. Mascorro, MD, medical director, earned her bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University and graduated from the University of Houston Medical School. She completed her residency at the University of Texas Southwestern – Parkland Memorial Hospital, where she was awarded the prestigious Medicus award “for outstanding clinical care, knowledge, teaching and dedication to compassion and professionalism.” Dr. Mascorro has been practicing obstetrics and gynecology in Abilene since 2005.

Stacie Stephenson, RN

Stacie Stephenson, RN, is a graduate of Angelo State University and has been a nurse for over 11 years. Her nursing experience is varied and includes pediatrics and surgical services at Hendrick.

Micayla Anders

Micayla Anders, spa manager, grew up in the Houston area and moved to Abilene to attend college at Abilene Christian University, where she earned her degree in social work. Over her professional career, Anders has enjoyed working in various health care and medical settings.

Samantha M. Matta

Samantha M. Matta, marketing and front desk coordinator, graduated from Hardin Simmons University in Abilene, Texas, with a degree in mass media and Spanish. She works with guests from the first contact on the phone through consultation and treatments.

Kelly McCoy

Kelly McCoy, front desk specialist, has worked in the medical industry for over four years, scheduling and assisting patients with individual needs.

Maria Whittemore

Maria Whittemore, massage therapist, graduated from Northeastern University with a degree in athletic training.

Michelle Bierma

Michelle Bierma, massage therapist, graduated from Texas State Technical College as a licensed vocational nurse. From there, she helped medically fragile children relieve their daily pain through massage. Bierma has studied healing massage, Indian massage and Swedish.

Tasha Wright

Tasha Wright, licensed esthetician, has been in the industry for over seven years.

Crystal Walker

Crystal Walker, licensed nail technician, has over seven years of experience. She graduated from Butte College of Cosmetology in Chico, California, and aspires to continue her education as a manicurist.

Shay Fischer

Shay Fischer, esthetician and nail technician, started her career as a respiratory therapist and worked in that field for about seven years before deciding to go into skin and nail care.
