  Just an hour north of Mobile, Alabama and Pensacola, Florida, The Poarch Band of Creek Indians has created an award-winning casino and resort in Atmore, Alabama. The latest addition to this AAA Four Diamond complex is its 15,000-square-foot destination health retreat, Escape at Wind Creek. Opened in January 2012, Escape encourages its guests to craft their own all-inclusive wellness experiences in its state-of-the-art facility offering a world-class spa, fitness center, culinary studio, discovery programs and adventure excursions. Level 15, Escape’s boutique hotel within a hotel, is serenely separate from the casino’s gaming excitement.

The sleek, 12,300-square-foot Spa at Escape is completely contemporary while taking its cues from nature’s river rocks and flowing waters. In its eight treatment rooms, including one couple’s suite, guests can enjoy offerings from the spa’s menu of massages — including its Escape Signature massage, involving a customized blend of massage oils — and skin and body treatments featuring DeLaine by Michelle Douglas and Dermologica products. Escape guests stay at the boutique Level 15, located on the 15th story of the AAA Four Diamond Wind Creek hotel. Rooms are inspired by nature and feature bamboo flooring, Dreamweaver bedding, 42-inch HDTVs, plush spa robes and slippers, along with other amenities chosen specifically for Escape visitors.

For dining, the Wind Creek resort boasts five restaurants, one of which is the spa’s Café Escape. Café Escape’s menu emphasizes quality and local ingredients and also offers options for vegetarians and vegans. Parties of up to 12 can enjoy a private dining experience at Chef’s Table offering special three- and four-course menus.
