The Wax Skin Spa offers eco-friendly treatments with a holistic approach in a setting designed to be luxurious and relaxing. The deep browns and dark wood in this waxing and skin spa give a sense of warmth, and the individual treatment room features soft background music, aromatherapy and a heated table for added comfort. Signature treatments include the Hippies Hiatus facial, a 100-percent organic and eco-certified facial and the Portlandia “Cacao” Sugar Twist, which uses dark chocolate to help with anti-aging. Additional spa services include facials, body treatments, pedicures, foot treatments, acupuncture, massage, full-body waxing for men and women, bamboo therapy and more. I used spa finder to look for someplace to get some waxing done yesterday and called a few different spas but most were booked up or had a two to three day lead time. I called Regina and she said she had time in about two hours if I could come in. I have to tell you this little skin studio is one of those places you need to not judge a book by its cover. I was pleasantly surprised when she opened the door. Not only did she make me feel totally at ease her space is very relaxing. I had my back and chest waxed. She really knows her craft I was maybe there for 45 minutes, she was attentive and made sure I left with some samples of her men's skin line and made me feel generally concerned about my skin care regime and after care. I would recommend this spot to anyone that likes a very private and upscale experiences. Prices are not bad either.
