The five-star luxury hotel showcases the iconic Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa brand, allowing guests to indulge in its award-winning timeless service and cutting-edge technologies; following a treatment, spa-goers can take a dip in the indoor saltwater or Jacuzzi plunge pools. The Chatwal’s legacy continues with the revered Lambs Club restaurant, once home to America’s first theater club.

Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa celebrates the dramatic flair of Chatwal’s Art Deco design while adding a chic twist of modernism. The 2,400-square-foot spa and fitness studio has three treatment rooms, and three private changing areas are thoughtfully outfitted with steam showers. A mani/pedi studio, a saltwater lap pool and Jacuzzi plunge pool also help to create this urban sanctuary.
Guests can indulge in Red Door Spa’s renowned menu of massage modalities and skincare treatments (Ultimate Arden Facial, Oxygen Infusion Facial and Ceramide Recapture Facial to name a few). Body treatments, including the Signature Stress Melter Ritual – a combination of an olive-oil scrub, aromatherapy body wrap and massage – plus waxing services are also available. Products used include PREVAGE and CERAMIDE, Skinceuticals and Aromatherapy Associates.
The minimum spa age is 17; those younger must be accompanied by an adult.

Capturing a 1930s vibe, the Art Deco-designed guest rooms and suites are the creation of architect and designer Thierry Despont. Accommodations complement the chic, club-type feel of the Manhattan hotel: Walls are bedecked in suede and dual closets fashioned in leather. Custom accoutrements include retro playing cards and backgammon sets, and select rooms feature private terraces.
The Empire Deco-inspired Lambs Club Restaurant is an epicurean treat, with origins dating back to 1905. Once the clubhouse for the Lambs, America’s first professional theater club, the restaurant was a haunt for the likes of Charlie Chaplin, Spencer Tracy and Fred Astaire, and remains a favorite mingling spot for locals and tourists alike. Menus feature Geoffrey Zakarian’s modern American cuisine, and guests can begin or conclude their dining experience with a cocktail at the Lambs Club Bar, located on the second floor.
