The spa's Sundari Facial is a customer favorite; it involves a nourishing customized blend of fresh, aromatic herbal ingredients especially formulated for sensitive skin. Another favorite is the Balancing Ritual Wrap, a hydrating treatment that incorporates rose oil, sweet almond oil, and geranium oil. Body works is one of the best spas on Long Island with reasonable prices and very attentive staff.
I would like to say that the aromatherapy massage I had with Andrea this morning December 30th @ 9am was exceptional and heavenly. She really took her time, listened to what I had to say, and massaged out all the tension and soreness in my body while being very gentle. The other treatments I have had with Jasmine (balancing back treatment) and Leonora (deluxe massage: 90 minutes - Swedish) were also heavenly. The atmosphere is impeccable and very welcoming. Thank You.Keep up the great work. You have definitely earned a customer for life. I would like to wish you all a happy and healthy new year....

I had my first Spa treatment last week. I had SPAFinder Gift Certt to use and found this beautiful SPA close to my home on the website. I am so happy and pleased I decided to give it a chance. I had a 90 min stone massage and it was a delight! I plan to go back again soon and have a regular massage. Ii is small and intimate which was appealing to me. My only wish was there a place to relax before and after the treatment.. Overall I loved it and will be back

I have been going to Body Works Day Spa for over a year now. The level of professionalism and excellent service is first rate. I have been to many spas and sometimes am not comfortable in a stuffy atmosphere. Body Works is so comfortable, friendly, clean and charming. I would highly recommend! I have found all the staff highly professional and have never had any problems with the pricing. In fact I think Body Works is a great value. Jasmine gives a first rate facial and leaves my skin without a mark! Andrea gives the best Swedish massage. I probably shouldn't have said that because now they will always be booked. I hope you go and enjoy it as much as I do. Also, I have had many conversations with Renee the owner and find her honesty, friendly and polite. I have heard though the grapevine about the lady who complained. I suggest she goes somewhere else and don't be so petty to say they are dishonest! The Yoga and Pilates studio is great too. I'm so lucky this little gem in my neighborhood. Keep up the good work guys!

Be careful at this spa with regards to pricing. Renee seems to get very offended if customers--paying customers--ask questions regarding pricing. I have had two experiences with this issue and I do not plan to return to the spa. I find this practice unethical. If an eye cream is recommended by the staff during the facial then that staff member should also inform the customer that an additional 35 dollars will be added. When you find out at the register and then question the price, you are made to feel like you are the "problem" and not the intentional or unintentional "miscommunication". It happened again today and I maintained, as I had before, that it is incumbent on the staff to inform the customer about additional prices--I was told I was not a "nice person" by the owner. Mind you, I had not been there in a year and I did not make a scene or yell, I just questioned the practice and expressed my disappointment--something that I am allowed to do at 125 for a 50 minute facial--when I thought it cost 80 dollars. I have seen the angry responses by management to the other complaints and I suggest management adopt a friendlier tone--not everyone is going to love their experience and you should respect the concerns of every customer.

As mentioned during our conversation if you don't trust us as your Esthetician, or spa of choice, why do you return? My staff, including myself called you prior to your appointment to answer any of your concerns, and to assure you a pleasurable experience. During your treatment you were bashing another spa which I found to be unprofessional on your part. And, I am not surprised you would do the same to us, as this seems to be your character. I am not sure what eye cream you are talking about? You never purchased one, or were charged for one. Eye cream is always included as part of any facial at our spa. I recommended a service that would cost you less then what you original booked (how could that possibly be shady? as you called our facility). You were charged for the facial that we agreed upon. And, your receipt reflected that. There were no surprises. You mentioned you loved Eminence products, and that was the facial you received. Your facial also included a peel which was what you agreed to instead of doing microdermabrasion, which at the end of your treatment cost you less. It is clear that you're not happy in general where ever you go. I also don't appreciate how you treat, and talk to me, and my staff as if we're beneath you. As mentioned, every time you arrive at our spa,you are demeaning and try to manipulate the front desk. I am a local resident, and own more then one business in the area, and earned business person of the year in Nassau County, because my business is an honest one. Bashing my character I will not tolerate. How would you feel, if you were to receive a complaint where you work regarding your character? As a teacher your communication skills lack. In result of your behavior while at our spa,We were clear when we asked you to take your business else where. Please do so. We work very hard to please every client, unfortunately you cannot be pleased.

I'm writing this on behalf of my mother. She found the atmosphere to be very pleasant and professonal, her sweddish massage was very relaxing.I prsonally found the front desk receptionist to be very lovely, personable and accommondating. The spa smelled of some type of wood, cedar I believe, it was very calming. The spa was very clean, no problems with that. My mother's only let down would be the music that they play in the rooms, she said it was very gothic,not the type of music you want to hear when you are trying to relax. other than that she said the experience was lovely. perhaps the owner will consider playing enya or oceans by ed van fleet or any type of soft wind or oceans/waves music. I would defintely take her back and I myself would go back, and reccommnend this to spa to a friend.

Enya is one of the 5 cd's that plays daily, and others include, ocean sounds, flute, chimes, etc. Gothic is not one that we carry? We hope your next visit your opinion of music will be relaxing. OMG what a great little spa. second time there...the first was great ...but the second was outstanding...took advantage of the Spa Week Specials...had the cranberry-sugar scrub and the hydrating facial...unbelievable....everyone was very nice including Rene...I think that's her name...the manager...Andrea and Jasmin was amazing....no kidding...and I have gone to many spas over the years.....it's worth the drive...!!!! What a find.

I always look forward to going to this spa. I found it here on spa finder when I wasn't happy with the place i was going to. It's a little farther but I don't mind. They have a great, relaxing atmosphere and reasonable prices, plus they offer a lot of services. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I can't wait for my treatment next month!

I have no clue what the last comment was about but I am here to tell you I love this place. My massage with Jaime was AWESOME! Facial with Jasmine WONDERFUL! Obviously the last person who commented is mean. This spa is quiet, clean, and the staff are great people. I bought all my products and they work wonderful. This spa uses top of the line and reasonable priced products. The services are even reasonable unlike franchised spas. Even the front desk girl had great glowing skin and she was very nice. I had a 4 oclock appointment and i literally was so relaxed i wanted to lay there over night. Body works i will return again and again. My new favorite local get away.

I purchased "The Works" package as a birthday gift for myself. What was intended to be a relaxing day at the spa turned out to be a disaster. First, I was having trouble locating the place and the receptionist kept giving me the wrong directions. When I finally arrived (15 minutes late) I was told that my body wrap treatment had to be cut down to 30 minutes!!! Also, the woman who performedmy facial did a botched job because my nose was bruised for two weeks due to the fact that she was too rough when attempting to do extractions. Overall it was the worse spa experience I have ever had!

I see your last visit was on April 4th 2009?? For the services that you described... Why would you leave feedback a year later? And, to add why wouldn't you call us and discuss your result after the facial? Your Aesthetician a YEAR ago, who is no longer with our company, yet had many regulars with great reviews.
It is clear while reserving time at the spa, our policy and "time" is reserved for you. If you arrive late, would it be fair to make the next reservation wait while they are on time? Or if someone else was late, and your time was disturbed while you were on time? Of course every situation is different, and if there isn't another appointment, and you arrive late we will be happy to offer you your full service time.
Our team gives their best do make everyone happy. The only way we can make it better is if you leave your comments at the desk or with a Manager.
Last, Map quest is available on our website for help to locate us on Covert Avenue. Our desk will do their best to offer directions. However, step by step directions are not our responsibility for you to arrive on time.

I was a guest of a friends spa party, and I thought this spa was fantastic. The staff was very friendly, and very acommodating to our large group.I had a relaxing massage with Jaime that was so wonderful I booked again for another visit. I also had a facial with Renee and her facial was the best I ever had. I found that she payed attention to what my skin needed, and still had time to remove all of my extractions on my face, and gave me a relaxing neck and hand massage. Also, the extras that make a difference were in reach. The spa is also very clean,and their towels and robes smell soooo good. Lavender I think? I believe this is their only location. They should open others, but they are worth the trip. I plan on getting all of Holiday gifts there too.

My fiance bought me a very expensive package because I go to spas so often. They were very UNaccomodating with scheduling all the included services nad would not split up the time. The owner, Rene, said that she was only a manager and couldn't help me. Very disapointing.

We also ask for your comments at our front desk while checking out, so we can correct any issue you have. We also don't show your reservation as ever existing? Perhaps, you used another name? You mentioned that you visit spas often... Then, I am sure you understand why most spa's have a cancellation policy that in certain situations are enforced for multiple service reservations. This is clear on our brochure and website. I don't recall any situation being brought to my attention recently as I would called your directly to handle your concerns. I frequently go to spas and I absolutely love this one. The spa is very relaxing. The massages are great and the facial that I got was excellent. If you ever need a facial done I recommend using Lori.

This spa is beautiful, clean,and tranquil. The staff were wonderful. They are unique, and the services were amazing. The decor is one of a kind. I felt I stepped into a rain forest. Renee gave me an amazing facial. She knows so much about sensitive skin. Shari was my my Massage Therapist "Heven". Also, Renee rescued my eye brows, and shaped them perfectly. The Spa smells so good too. You must book an appointment. I have already!
