Anastassia Day Spa

I went in for a spafinder gift card a while back and let me tell you: I have never had a better full body exfoliation! It is not for the sensitive folk~ After that, I had a vaccuum message and a body wrap and it was really worth it! After the agressive treatment of releasing toxins and fatty tissues of free radicals, you fall asleep becuase you are so refreshed! Its amazing here!

I cannot say enough about Anastassia Day Spa. I had a great massage and facial. The folks are wonderful and the expertise is impeccable. I will definitely be back.

Having decided to visit this spa only a few days from visiting Anchorage, the staff was very helpful in returning calls to ensure appointments were booked correctly and questions answered. The treatments were as described and additional details were explained throughout the course of the visit. Overall pleased with the experience and would visit again.Note: Parking downtown is a bit challenging; use the garage off of 6th St where its $1 / hr, which is just a short walk from the spa)

Like some of the other reviewers here I have traveled extensively (France, England, India, Thailand, Africa, Russia, Spain, etc etc etc...) and visited many spas in my travels (two of them rated in the top ten of Travel and Liesure magazine's best spa list). Anastassia's spa is an intimate and personal destination, like the service you will unfailingly receive there. Having never experienced a more thorough and professional facial anywhere else, I no longer request a facial from the spa menu but let Anastassia perform her magic specific to my skin. Brow wax? Also the best, perfect arch each and everytime and no break-outs or wax burns to contend with afterwards. On occasion I will still get a facial while traveling but after 6+ years in Anastassia's care it is always a bit of a dissapointment. Do yourself a favor and discover this little gem of a spa right here in Anchorage.

If it has you need to find (and you'll have to look) this little spa in the heart of downtown Anchorage. I have never had a spa experience that was this great. You are the center of attention...they aren't rushing to get to the next client, so allow yourself plenty of time to indulge! You will be reborn, or at least refurbished! I have been to spas in the "Lower 48", Canada, Mexico, South Africa (Lanzerac Resort Hotel & Spa), and on cruise lines, but this is the best and it's right here at home!

I was spoiled from the beginning - my very first facial experience was with Anastassia a number of years ago. I knew then that was the nicest pampering I had ever felt.I now travel for business fairly regularly and as a standard course, I will take in a spa experience everytime I travel. I have been to Reno, Vegas, Couer D'Laine, Seattle, Mexico, Omaha, Phoenix on my most recent trips and have enjoyed the spa experiences, but a facial with Anastassia is still the best!

This was my first time with this spa and I have to say I was a bit nervous.I will begin with, its downtown and parking was hard to find. When I finally did pay for parking and walked to the spa, I realized just how small the facility was. I was expecting a larger spa, but what the hey I was there so no time to change my mind. Anastassia greeted me and was all ready for my arrival.I was scheduled for a facial and hot stone massage. She suggested my facial first. Now I have had facial treatments before so I am familiar with the process. The first few steps were very southing and at one point in time, I actually fell asleep.... VERY RELAXING! The next half of the facial was extractions. Now my skin has never been classified as problematic but Anastassia proceeded to extract as if I was a pimple-faced teenager. It was a bit rough (and I am usually very tough) and she went as far as to go into my ears to extract. Well needless to say, I was happy when the process was complete. She told me it would take roughly 10 days to see the full effects (again something I am used to hearing with previous facial treatments), I am on day 5, and I am assuming it will get worse before it gets better. My skin is flaking off and even though she extracted I think every pore on my face I am broken out all over. Not something, I have experienced with other treatments. I will give it five more days and hope to God it clears up.Next was the hot stone massage. After the facial experience, I was ready for a relaxing massage. I was escorted into the other room and prepped. I told her I like the stones really hot and that I had lots of tension in my neck. Well the stones were not really hot but the placement felt good (between toes, along spine and in hands). Like the facial, it was good at some point because I fell asleep. Near the end she worked on my neck (previously mentioned tension), and boy did she work on my neck. I think she put away the stones and used her elbows! I was one of those "hurt so good" feelings. I was sore when it was done, but only till the evening. When I woke up the next morning, I was completely relaxed. The massage obviously did its job.Now I am familiar with spas and services so this was not a new experience for me. I am used to being rushed in and rushed out to accommodate the next person. Well this is not so with this spa. I was thinking I would be there for about 1.5 maybe 2 hours... well I was there for over 3 hours! When I was done, I realized I had missed a lunch date with my husband.So to conclude: Parking is hard to find and you have to pay for it. Services are by appointment only so there is no walk in. Treatments are THROUGH and LENGTHY (ultimately good, just plan accordingly). I would recommend this to others and definitely go again. Oh... price... for my two treatments... $260 without tip. However, you do get what you pay for.

I received the full intensive body treatment. And what a treat it was. I have never felt so good. This was my first time receiving this treatment and it was one that I will be talking about for a very long time. Nikkie, is without a doubt, a God-send. She is very professional and thorough. She explained everything that she was doing and the effects. She never once mentioned the time. I didn't feel as if she was rushing me at all. This is no doubt a 5-star establishment. I received a facial from Anastassia and it was easily the best facial I've ever had. I have had numerous facials in the past, so I have something to compare my experience to. She is wonderful and I will definitely be going back!The day spa is clean and neat, a very relaxing atmosphere. Anastassia is very professional and very thorough, and her facial massage techniques are excellent. At the end of the appointment she didn't try to push the spa's products, merely put a brochure in my bag with some free tea, parking validation, and a sincere invitation to come back in the future.
