Worse Brazilian of my life :(
I want to start off by saying my esthetician was very sweet and I feel bad for writing this review, but I think I need to. I use to get brazilian bikini waxes every 6 weeks but had stopped for about 6 months, until today. I tried out this spa for the first time and I was a nightmare. It lasted about an hour and twenty minutes, which is the longest brazilian I've ever had. Usually they take about 30 to 45 minutes on me if it's been a while. Right off the bat I knew there was something not right with her technique and wanted to stop the service after a few strips, but I have serious issues with speaking up for myself. She never once pulled the skin taunt which meant it was more painful for me, and harder for her to retrieve hair, so she had to go over sections over and over again. It was all I could do to not burst into tears. I know she felt bad and although I was in SO much pain I told her not to feel bad :/ there is a lot more I could say about how horrible this was for me but I'll shut up now. Point it, this wax was my worse nightmare when it comes to waxing services.

massage and manicure- nice overall
My first time at The Human-touch was pleasant. I was walked to my massage room and it was beautiful an professional. My massage was done by a very professional staff member and she explained everything to me prior to my massage. The massage I paid for was 50 minutes but she only massaged for 45. It was nice but a tiny bit short. I then had a gelish manicure. There were about 10-12 colors to choose from and it was nice. I will say the manicure was clean and used new tools but it was not relaxing if that's what your looking for. The spa is large and clean with nice staff but they seemed to hang around on the hair salon stools which didn't really bother me but could bother some. I would go again if I had a spafinder gift card but I don't think it would be my first pick if I was paying out of my pocket. Also the largest complaint I have is the price listed for things is WITHOUT tax and then they charge you a 2.00 fee to pay with your credit card but they Also Tax the 2.00! It was kind of ridiculous.
As the owner of The Human Touch Salon & Day Spa, I really appreciate client feedback on how we are doing and how we can make your visit a positive experience. We take pride in what we do and are here to serve you. I would like to take this opportunity to let potential clients know that all Spa Services are taxable and I haven’t yet found another Spa that posts their prices with the sales tax included (or a restaurant for that matter.) I would also like to take this opportunity to let potential clients know that the professionals at The Human Touch are respectful of your time and hope that you are respectful of ours. We make every effort to be ready to go at your appointed time. We run on a tight schedule and if you are “late”, your services will be shortened out of respect for the client following you that is “on time.” We recommend being at least 10 minutes early on your first visit for massage services to complete our intake form. We will happily accept your check or cash so you can avoid the $2 convenience fee we charge. I can assure you that no tax has ever been applied to the $2 fee and the statement made on the above review is untrue. I checked it out just to make sure a mistake wasn’t made. As always, we look forward to providing you our absolute best.
