A New Beginning

I recently got married and they took care of all my services for me. Claudia regularly does my hair and I'm always thrilled but I rarely treat myself to other services and after the wedding, I may do so more often! My nail tech and aesthetician who did my make up for me and my friends were fantastic. And though neither of my friends had been to the salon before they both loved their hair (which I didn't dictate) for my big day-which can be so hard on your first visit to a stylist! (and we didn't do a trial before hand).I love them and their products and will remain a loyal customer.

I had a wonderful manicure and pedicure there - great nail tech and very nice atmosphere. They just started manis and pedis for $50 a couple days a week so I will definitely be back!

I had been going to this facility for pedicures for about a year and finally decided to try the hair salon. I did my research reading reviews online and found a mixed bag of some that were great, some that were good & some that were not so great. When it comes to my hair I avoid change and always approach a cut with a little trepidation. But knowing the level of service and professionalism I experience for other services at the salon, I figured it was worth giving the hair salon a try.I am happy to report that I am thrilled with the result! Jaime was my stylist and she did a great job! I appreciate that she took the time to understand what I was looking for, what my normal hair routine is and what my concerns were. I could not be happier with the result and will most definitely be back.

I decided last minute to get a half hour massage to loosen up my back the day before a fitness competition and the staff accommodated me. My massage therapist was right on time & even though I only had 30 minutes I NEVER felt rushed or that she was in a rush. I have to say it was a phenomenal experience...Jennifer asked what brought me in and then addressed my issues directly. In just half an hour she had loosened up my back/shoulders, relaxed me and was SO in tune that she was able to explain to me not only WHY i was tight & where but what was weak & what muscles I should work on stretching & strengthening. Without my specifying, she pinpointed what kind of exercises I typically do. She also said, "if you haven't had trouble with your right shoulder yet, you will, you need to stretch & focus on strengthening your lats to protect it" She wasn't aware that a month previously I had shoulder pain & had fixed it by constant stretching & avoiding aggravating motions. I placed 9th in my comp..& I attribute it to the massage!The know-how and expertise at this salon is top-notch! I will be going to Jennifer forever! All thanks to a little gift card to SpaFinder a friend gave me!

This year my daughter in law gave me a spa finder gift card for mother's day. I had a half hour massage and a hair cut with a shampoo and blow dry. The massage was so relaxing. Jen, my massage therapist, was terrific. She made me feel so comfortable. I loved the aroma she used in the massage oil. I keep getting compliments on my hair cut by David. I received a hand massage during my shampoo and the greatest scalp massage. I was pampered from my fingertips to ny toes that day! Thank you to all of the staff who made be feel very special!

This was my first time getting a facial in a LONG time and I was a bit nervous. The front desk staff was VERY client service oriented (she came out from behind the desk to greet me) and very accomodating (she took my jacket). I had chosen the facial for self renewel (90 minutes). The esthetician was professional, friendly, and was not pushy when it came time to show me the products she used. I would go back in a heartbeat and I will definately recommend this spa to others!!!

I had my hair cut and colored this week. The color is beautiful and my hair is so soft.The new reception area and Aveda display set the tone for a great appointment. The atmosphere is so soothing and calm. My appointment started on time. I love the new area where you sit when your color is taking. It is a quiet place to sip tea and relax. The leather swivel chairs are very comfortable. Since the day spa opened, I could have booked an Aveda treatment during the color wait.Next time, I plan on booking a facial before the cut and color.I love the Aveda products and that I can learn how to use them, get services and purchase them in my area.I did my hair the next morning and it looked like I had just left A New Beginning.A first class salon and spa!!!!

I just found this gem of a spa after it has been hiding in plain sight for more than 12 years.Last week my friend suggested that I give them a call after having a bad massage at another local spot. She assured me that the massage therapists at A New Beginning were heads and shoulders above the rest... she was right! I enjoyed a thoroughly relaxing and theraputic massage and I was also treated to a delightful cup of tea while I conversed at length with their very efficient personnel regarding their products and services.Not only will I go back to this spa for massages, waxing and facials, my plans include going back for hair services as well. Based on how fantastic other clients looked when walking out that door, I'd be foolish not to!

I booked an appointment to get my hair done at this salon. During the booking process the receptionist asked me if would be getting a full color or just a foil. I told her that I was not sure. She said it was no problem and that she would fill me in for the longest amount of time so I could do what I wanted. At this time I also asked to be put on a waiting list for cancellations.The next day I got a call and they asked me to come in at 5:30 - I happily accepted. About 1/2 hour later they called back and requested that I come in at 5:15 since I had never had color there before - I again happily accepted. I showed up at 5:15 Sharpe.The stylist took me back and asked what we would be doing today. I told her my ideas. She picked at my hair, and then looked at her watch. She said she wouldn't have time to do it. She said she could do 1/2 of it then, but I would have to come back and get the rest done later. I told her there must be a mistake because the woman booking the appointment said she would put me in for the maximum time limit. The stylist said, no, she didn't. So, I told her I would prefer to get it all done at once so I would come back. She walked me back out to the reception area and said good bye.The receptionist looked at the schedule and my original appointment had been booked. So I was going to have to wait even longer. I simply told her I would call at a later date. She said OK and dismissed me. That was it. There was absolutely no apology for the mix up or confusion. There was absolutely no attempt at making any kind of accommodation for me. There was absolutely no attempt to ensure that I left that place feeling happy or good about the experience. They simply let a good customer walk out the door. They were very nonchalant and uncaring about the entire situation. I used to go there to buy all of my hair products as well - but I won't even be back for that. It was a horrible experience, and there is nothing worse then an establishment that places no value on their customers.
