Slow Flow Hour
The bridge between Hatha and Vinyasa, moving slower and softer than Vinyasa, Slow Flow is designed to bridge the gap between slower hatha classes and faster vinyasa or ashtanga classes. Slow Flow allows each student to flow through a series of moderately challenging poses. Each series has been created to work through lines in the body building strength, flexibility, and breaking through energy stagnation. Once the lines are open, prana (chi, ki or life force) can wash through the body increasing harmony and health. Room is comfortable and warm, but not hot, to warm your muscles properly and help your body move more freely. Some familiarity with poses is helpful, but not entirely necessary. All levels are welcome. |

PlayTime Vinyasa
This is PlayTime Vinyasa for us big kids! Sharon takes from her own daily practice and shares it with all of you! Integration and Sun Salutations as warm ups, then you get to delve into adventurously fun transitions and playful sequencing, while learning seemingly challenging poses, using everything but the kitchen sink as tools to allow you space to breath, explore, inquire, and experience pure joy and freedom in your practice. Wall, blocks, straps, partner work, you name it, we use it, we try it, we do it, without fear and with absolute love. Arm balancing, twists, inversion work, binds, hip openers, inner joy and peace are likely to ensue. Floor work, cool down and savasana will round out this 90 minute practice. Room is warm with no steam to allow for proper stretching and increased flexibility. Several adaptations and modifications are offered. Foundations
If you're not sure where to begin, start here! If you've been practicing for awhile and you want to work on improving your alignment and transitions, this class is for you too! This one hour class is for the curious and for those brand new to Power Vinyasa Yoga. Less flow and more instruction. Blocks and Straps are used. Sun Salutations? What are they? What are they for? What do they do for me? Ujjayi Breath? What the heck is that? Proper alignment, adaptations, modifications and nuances of each pose will be explored. A pose of the week will be highlighted. The room will be warm to provide the best environment for your muscles to access the poses more readily. No prior yoga experience required. All are welcome. |
