I recently visited the Serenity Day Spa for a facial. I had a wonderful experience, eventhough I has asked for Lois I was given someone else at the last minute but it worked out ok. The staff is very accomodating and nice. I had a very good facial which was very relaxing. Although the house itself is very old, the decor is quaint and charming and most importantly the facilities are very clean. The service I got was very good which was what I had hoped for. If I had multiple treatments I would probably visit a different spa with more luxurious amenities, however for the purposes of just getting a facial this place suited my needs perfectly. I am definitely going back here since its hard to find a good facial spot for a reasonable price.

Three of us each had a massage and facial to try out those services since they were running $0 treatment specials. The facials were wonderful, Lois and D were phenomenal. Lois gave me one of the best facials I've had. 2 of the massage therapists were great, one was ok according to one of the girls. Front desk is Serentiy always so helpful and patient when I was trying to sync 3 people for the same time slots. My only suggestion is (1) to have lockers rather than give bags to carry around with your stuff in it as you go in between treatments. It was still wonderful but it would be a bit more relaxing not to have to lug your things around (2) have the waiting room for inbetween treatments to be more cozy, i.e. couches rather than high chairs with a bar style seating area. Otherwise for overall service, quality and price, you can't beat it.

My daughter and I tried the specialty pedicures- hers was the volcanic clay, while I had the ultimate hydrating pedicure. The front desk staff was very welcoming and helpful. The ambiance was nice. It was charming since the spa is in an old Victorian house. They had a good variety of retail products for sale. The regimen for the pedicures itself was good. My daughter and I had our own room for the pedicures. Her technician I think was better and took pride in her work. Was very thorough with the cleaning and she just took her time which made it more relaxing. My technician on the other hand seemed to just be going through the motions (which I don't really care if they do a good job) but she spent minimal time in removing the dead skin from my feet and the polish application was horrible. I regularly receive pedicures in Top Nails Salon and Aree Nails so I have a gauge and it was just sloppy but my daughter's was fine. It was though I did it myself. I've had pedicures at Vitto Mazza and they looked great, I had to have a new pedicure in less than a week that's how unprofessional it looked! To top it off, there is no drying station for your toes. We had to sit in the waiting room with the portable dryers.

I love this spa-it's close in proximity to where I live, they offer a wide variety of services, and their staff is respectable and knowledgeable. In addition, the facility is clean and large. I don't go here as often as I'd like-it's a bit on the pricey side. But a small price to pay for feeling like a million dollars afterward! :]

I have been to serenity a few times, but the last time I went there was quite an experience. I was in shock when I left Serenity. I went there for a Brazilian wax, (which I have had numerous times before) and a manicure. I had been to Serenity before and it was ok. This visit was awful. I do not mean to seem as if I am age discriminating by saying this, but the woman I had was older...an older blonde-ish woman with glasses 1. the Brazilian wax- Worst Brazillian wax EVER. I don't want go to into detail. 2. the manicure was terrible: The same woman who did the wax did my manicure. I had nail polish all over my nails, and my cuticles. It looked like my 2 year old niece did the manicure. I was so embarrassed for the woman that I couldn't wait to get out of there and I didn't speak up and say anything. I will never go back there!!

I have gone to this spa a number of times and have always found the staff excellent and helpful. The massages are great. I usually get the deep tissue. The atmosphere is claming and comfortable especially after a long day at work. Great place!. I definitely recommend it.

Visited this spa often ,the staff is very frendly and the atmosphere is very calming.... most of the treatments I've had were excellent, however, on my last visit the person servicing me kept a conversation going and did not do a good job, I reported it to the front desk and was given a discount because of this with no problem.. just to know , when I go for a treatment it is to relax not to talk about my job and my life which I am trying to get away from.... I am the type of person that want to feel my massage, I am not paying to have lotion appied. All-In-All if you get the right person that knows what they are doing, you will have a great experience.

I signed up for multiple services: * Massage was excellent and focused on my problem areas * Facial involved constant product hawking which is annoying and too much product was used, got in my nose * Mani and pedi were great Atmosphere was also mixed. The decor was warm and charming but the ancient pedicure chairs need updating. Too old! Plus the pedi room is a tiny closet which gets very damp. Staff is very friendly and professional.

I am 36 and have not so great skin. Debbie gave me the most luxurious glycolic facial and my skin felt so renewed when I left and not raw like at many other spas I've been to. I give them an A++
