• About Skintology Skin and Laser Center

Skintology Total Skin and Laser Spa's treatment menu contains more than 100 services that comprise a blend of skin-rejuvenating therapies, state-of-the-art aesthetic enhancement, and laser hair removal. Four signature treatment rooms - each decorated in a distinct, exotic style, from Japanese Garden to Moroccan Villa -represent the spa's cosmopolitan approach. Along with high-tech laser services and clinically tested products, practitioners use ancient techniques and all-natural ingredients inspired by the holistic traditions of China, Russia, and Africa.

The spa's treatment and consultation rooms house a number of advanced, FDA-approved laser technologies. Safe, effective laser hair removal is performed by highly trained technicians with a soothing anesthetic for minimal discomfort. IPL (intense pulsed light) treatments use laser technology to rejuvenate the skin by stimulating collagen production. Laser skincare at Skintology also encompasses laser vein, scar, and tattoo removal as well as Titan Laser Therapy, a skin-tightening modality whose effects have been likened to those of a facelift.

Spa-goers seeking luxury and pampering can choose from a wide range of tension-melting and revitalizing treatments. Skintology's facials incorporate herbs and vitamins along with pharmaceutical-grade components. The signature Acne Facial, designed in collaboration with dermatologists, is guaranteed to achieve dramatic results regardless of age or skin tone. Additional highlights of the facial menu include The Chamomile Souffle Facial (formulated for especially sensitive skin) and the Organic Apple Sauce Facial, which was created with expecting mothers' needs in mind. Body treatments such as the Ayurvedic Baltic Mud Wrap integrate natural healing components, and a variety of Eastern and Western massage therapies is available. Other services include massage, microdermabrasion, eyelash extensions, manicures, pedicures, permanent makeup, and waxing.

My new go-to

I started getting regular treatments here a few years ago when trying to keep my skin in check before getting married. I put full trust in Rachel with my skin. Facials are relaxing and effective, and I NEVER walk out red. I also appreciate that I'm never getting a sales pitch during my sessions. I don't think you can really ask for much more from a neighborhood spa. I later bought a laser hair removal package which I've recommended to a number of friends. It seems results on laser treatment vary from customer to customer based on skin type. Turns out I was a good candidate and I was extremely happy with the service and results. The location, hours and prices are very convenient and after a series of great experiences at Skintology, I'll never go back to any of the over-priced luxury spa chains that used to be my go-to.

the WORST experience in my life! terrible customer service, absolute disrespect and worthless products. went in for botox. came back because result were poor. the doctor told me he agreed and was going to fix free of charge since the results were so bad. then the owner told him that he would have to charge me. i asked to speak to the owner. oddly, the owner "just left" and would call me back. it's been three weeks and i've gotten no such call. STAY AWAY FROM HERE. DON'T WAIST YOUR MONEY OR YOUR TIME.

My friend recommended I get a Photorejuvenation facial for some of my concerned skin issues... Well, this was the first time I tried such and this is at the location in which it occurred. I went there yesterday for my first treatment. I am to do a process of 5. So far no results which is as to be expected for it was only 1 out of the 5 to occur. However, the staff was very professional and attentive towards my needs/concerns so that alone deserves an A. They also offered me a free mud mask treatment which I took up on and my skin felt so smooth thereafter. I am already in love with this place. This is how businesses should run... Give a free sample (upon approval), and if we like we shall return. Just awesome...

I visited this spa with my mother as a mother's day gift. I was a little hesitant because sometimes reviews are not always accurate., but not the reviews for this spa! I had a hand treatment that included a kiwi mask and hand massage and my mom had a swedish massage with a facial for mature skin. When I walked in I quickly noticed how beautiful and clean the decor was. The receptionist was polite and while my mom and I waited she offered us something to drink and snack on. The woman that performed my hand treatment was polite and even though it was not a special type of massage she took her time, instead of just rolling my hands. She filed my nails and put a scrub on my hands and then a mask on for ten minutes. It was a very cooling mask. This would be excellent for a hot summer day. After that I waited for my mom in the waiting area since my hand treatment was 30 min. An hour past and I saw one of the staff and she asked me was I the daughter of this person she was treating. I said yes, and she informed me as she was doing my mom's facial she noticed she has some fat at the sides of her eyes. She said the term, but I dont remember. She didnt mean the eye bags, but something else. She just wanted to tell me that she removed them. She didnt have to do that, my mom was only getting a facial. While waiting some more I also decided to get the free skin consultation. She asked me what I was using and said these products were good for my acne. I was suprise she didnt push me to buy products from the spa. She said all she could recomment was the acne facial. I had such a good experience. I think I will go back there again

I have had a bad experience with laser hair removal before, I have a dark complexion and these treatments scarred my skin. I was very apprehensive about trying it again, but I found Skintology by searching on Google, their staff was so friendly and knowledgeable, Spa was clean and beautiful. The results with Laser Hair Removal have been absolutely fantastic, I guess it is due to their experience and machines they using. Buy the way ask for topical anesthesia you won't feel any pain.

Eyelash Extensions Not Worth It

I had lash extensions applied last week, and I must warn you that they are definitely not worth it! First, they are not much different from the individual lashes you can buy at the drug store for $5, and at a price of $400 you will kick yourself after (I have already done so). The process itself takes at least 3 hours, and I had hoped that once I got up from the table I would be wowed with the results. Not so ... In fact I was extremely disappointed with the finished look. It doesn't look terrible, but I could have applied the lashes from the drugstore myself with not much of a different outcome. The service at Skintology is excellent ... the technicians are very sweet and professional, and I haven't tried any other services there, but as far as the eyelash extensions go, do not waste your time or your money! As I originally thought, this is a fad that will disappear as quickly as it came ... I would not recommend this even if you have the money and time to spare.

I have been here a few times, the first time for a facial, I was having some breakouts and the advice that Jeana gave me (to stop going in the sauna) helped to calm my skin down. I also had permanent lip liner, which is a fairly uncomfortable procedure but I really loved the results. The staff is always very sweet here and don’t have to wait long to have my appointment, there is a great latin restaurant with all kinds of rainbow colors (can’t remember the name) across the street.

Thanks to a dear friend who sent me a Spafinder GC, I was able to try out this lovely spa...The spa is a pleasant find in the heart of NYC-not far from Penn Station and walking distance to many other attractions. The spa is nicely decorated in calming earth tones of burnt ocre, seafoam green and cream. There is running waterfalls throughout the spa. Gorgeous hard marbles running floor to floor with comfortable area rugs. I called for a package that I saw online and was able to book an appointment within two weeks. My package included the Chamomile Suoffe Facial, Warm Milk Manicure and Japanese Hot Stone Massage. I was greeted nicely upon my arrival and shown to a small but nice locker room, where there are lockers for personal items. Inside the lockers are spa slippers (not flimsy) and a big robe. The locker room could greatly benefit from heat as it's tough stripping naked in a very cold room only to throw on an even colder robe on bare skin! The staff greeted me afterwards to let me know the "course" of my day...my facial would be first. Eva was my facialist and is an absolute gem. She was very bubbly and was quite knowledgable about skin. Her touch was very light on my skin and she made me feel very comfortable, even when extracting my pores! She didn't talk much and explained, where appropriate, the various steps of product application on my skin. My skin truly glowed after this very indulgent facial. My manicure was next...the manicurist was nice but somewhat hurried along my nails. The warm milk manicure was nothing more than a regular manicure except you soak your hands in warm milk for all of 5 minutes (I would not do this treatment again), although my nails were shaped nicely and the manicurist was conscious of my pending massage so she would apply the color after my massage. Last was the massage, which I was initially looking forward to all week. While the massage therapist didn't talk much during the time (of course, this was appreciated), she didn't ask any questions about any particular areas to focus upon during my massage nor did she explain the "experience". Overall, the stones were nice but the massage was ok.

Acne Facial

I called Skintology for their Acne facial I've heard so much about. The receptionist connected me with the skin specialist who was incredibly nice and knowledgeable. She promised that 80-90% of acne would be gone after the very first treatment. Well, the results actually exceeded both the promise and my expectations - pretty much all my acne were either gone or dried out. I would attribute it to staff experience and a right combination of prescription grade ingredients. Thank you guys for the best skin I had in years!
