Chateau Bijou Salon and Spa

The location of this salon and spa is a neat historic building. It has the feel of a bustling salon in the front, but is slightly more relaxing in the back spa area. I visited for a 30 minute massage and requested (on the form given upon arrival) that I prefer a deeper massage. The massage therapist was friendly and welcoming, but the massage itself was far too light. I kept waiting for the true massage to begin, and before I knew it the service was over. The product and service selection at this spa is extensive, and quite impressive. They carry a good deal of Brocato and Aveda products.

Chateau Bijou is a salon that also offers spa services; any advertising to the contrary is false. I was excited after booking 3, 30 minute massages for me and my family while celebrating our annual Girls' Weekend, as the reviews for this place really seemed to be excellent. However, upon arrival, the "Quiet Room" that was discussed over the telephone was an 8x8 closet right off of the salon. This bright, cramped space had no spa music/fountains/candles, etc. and we could literally hear every word of the salon guests right next door--not to mention the loud pop music. We were offered no robes and had to sit on a small, wicker lawn bench and ottoman. As someone who has worked in very high-end spas and visited many other across the country, I'm just not sure how the owners could classify this as such. I've visited a salon for a massage before, knowing ahead of time what to expect. I simply believe their "spa" advertising is extremely misleading. Fortunately, the three of us all enjoyed fantastic massages and I was grateful that my therapist was experienced in prenatal techniques. However, our "afternoon at the spa" was just not what we anticipated.

I received a spafinder card for my birthday and this spa was the nearest, however I knew nothing about it. What a wonderful surprise. Beautiful and relaxing atmosphere, friendly staff and overall wonderful experience. I had a massage with stones and hydrotherapy bath. It was amazing. I also purchased this same package for my sisters birthday. I have been to many spas across the country and this one is one of the best!

My husband bought me a gift certificate for our Anniversary to Chateau Bijou Salon and Spa for a full day Spa package. I started out with a manicure and pedicure and it was one of the best ever. Jen did a great job and it was so relaxing. I then met with Kathleen for a facial and she was so knowledgeable and was so very personable and it too was such a pleasant experience. I had a nice lunch which was included and then I was off to meet with Dianne for a hot stone, deep tissue massage. She gave me the best massage I have ever had. I could have stayed there forever. I finished up with a cut and color with Kristin and it was the perfect ending to a perfect day! I would highly recommend Chateau Bijou to anyone looking for an upscale, high end, very client focused day spa and hair salon. Needless to say, I will be back and recommending it to everyone!!!! The atmosphere is really great and they have the best Therapist, Rick. They offer many different services and it is more relaxing and quiet than the past spas I have been too. The only problem is they won't use a partial spa gift card so I suggest getting smaller ones (like $50) and using those. You can use the remaining amount for tip though. If you plan to use your full gift card, this place is great!

My husband gave me a gift card for a full body deep massage, facial, manicure and pedicure 2 1/2 years ago and I LOVED it. I have been going at least 3 times a year since then. I highly recommend it and have to a couple of my friends (one was even pregnant and enjoyed it a lot) I have MS ,let me tell you DIANE knows how to relieve the stress (stress is not good for someone who has MS). My experience was fantastic, I'm ready for my next massage.
