This spa is relatively new (and part of the David Lloyd Leisure Group) so everything is bright, shiny and clean. I was lucky enough to win a Spafinder gift voucher and decided to use it at this spa as it is local to me. The staff on reception didn't seem to know much about the vouchers but, after checking, confirmed they could take them. I wanted to have a deep tissue massage, but was told by the receptionist the best therapist for this was not available until the following week. Not wanting to wait that long, I agreed to have the massage with another therapist. She was very polite, and asked all the right questions before the massage. However, I felt during the treatment that she was not very experienced and asked where she had worked previously. She said this was her first job since leaving college. Although she had previously asked me what type of pressure I preferred and I had told her quite deep (and the treatment was referred to as 'intense muscle release') she didn't apply much pressure during most of the 55 minute massage. I would put that down to lack of experience, and overall the treatment was very pleasant, but not quite 'what it said on the tin'. Have to say, a big plus was the lovely heated treatment couch!
