Sung Heinrichs

Haircutting, color, hair extensions, Hair Smoothing Treatment In addition to her work as a full-time hairdresser, Sung has also been involved with the Progressions education department, training apprentices and has served as a network educator for Bumble and bumble. She is a graduate of Graham Webb and has completed additional training with Oscar Bond, Aveda, and Intercoiffure as well as advanced training from Aveda, Toni & Guy, Goldwell USA, Ruth Roche, Vivienne MacKinder, Redken, Martin Parsons, is certified by Extend USA for hair extensions, and worked as an editorial stylist for Orlando Pita and Noah Hatton. Cele Khuen

Haircutting, color, perms, formal styling One of our original team members, Cele has been an integral part of Progressions since we opened in 1984 — which is most of her extensive career in hair design. In addition to her work as a stylist, she also serves as Human Resources director of the salon. Cele has traveled as far as Berlin for hair shows, to New York, Chicago, Miami, Tampa, and Las Vegas. She has taken classes with Paul Mitchell, Toni & Guy, Oribe, Vivienne MacKinder, Oscar Bond, Bumble and bumble, and Trevor Sorbie. She is truly a rare and special talent.

Barbara Roybal

Haircutting, color, Hair Smoothing Treatment, relaxers, formal styling, makeup, brow, lip and chin waxing, lash & brow tinting Barbara has been with Progressions since 1984 and is fluent in styling, color, formal styling and makeup. She has also broadened her skill level and offers hair extensions. With so many years in hair design, she has an impressive resume of advanced training. Barbara holds a bachelor’s degree in mental health and psychology and is a journeyman in the I.A.T.S.E. Theatrical Union. Jennifer Yavener

Silvia Platero

A graduate of the American Academy, she is certified and trained in hair extensions by Extend USA. She has also trained with Bumble and bumble, Redken, Goldwell, Oscar Bond, Lanza, Vivienne MacKinder, Orlando Pita, Vidal Sassoon, Toni & Guy, KMS, Aquage, Smashbox, has taken advanced classes at Graham Webb, and worked with Oribe at a backstage show. Kevin Glass

Growing and developing his natural talent for precision cutting, Kevin quickly worked his way up to senior educator at Toni & Guy Academy. Kevin is always looking to pursue new challenges which is why he has joined Progressions Team. Kevin's passion for teaching will allow him to further develop our education department. Karla Sweeney

Haircutting Karla joined Progressions in 1993. She specializes in haircutting and has had extensive training in Vidal Sassoon -London, Santa Monica and Miami. Toni & Guy -London, New York and Dallas. Bumble and bumble -New York. She has also trained with Nick Arrojo, Oscar Bond, Vivienne MacKinder, and Ruth Roche. Karla worked with us full time up until 2009 and currently lives in New York working with us three days a month. We're lucky to have her as part of our team.

Sandra Palacios

Haircutting and design, color, Hair Smoothing Treatment Sandra is a graduate of the Edison Center for Cosmetology and not only won first place for haircutting there in 1998, but also was named the Hair Dresser of the Year for the Montgomery County School System the same year. Ashleigh Gottlieb

Haircutting, color, hair extensions, Hair Smoothing Treatment From Washington D.C. to Los Angeles, Ashleigh has traveled coast to coast for continuous education. She has received valuable training from Toni & Guy, one of the industry's leaders. Her passion and love for the industry has contributed to her growth and development, specializing in precision cuts and advanced chemical theory. Ashleigh is using all this knowledge to help us advance our education department. In addition to Toni & Guy, Ashleigh has received training with Bumble and bumble, Oscar Bond, Vivienne MacKinder and John Sahag. Trish Rudnick

Haircutting and design, color, Hair Smoothing Treatment Trish is highly trained with an extensive background, having been in the business since 1990. She started her training at the Vidal Sassoon Cosmetology School in a 10 month course in Santa Monica, California. She attended numerous advanced Vidal Sassoon classes and completed her apprenticeship under Ira Ludwick. Additionally, Trish has studied under Oscar Bond in New York, Bumble and bumble, and Tigi. She completed a three month basic makeup class at Elegance International Makeup School in Los Angeles, California. Trish also attended an advanced training course at Sebastion Makeup School in San Diego, California. Her specialties include precision cutting and highlights.

Bonnie Taylor

Haircutting and formal styling One of our most experienced hairdressers, Bonnie has been in hair design since the early 1970s. Since joining Progressions in 1997, she has taken in-salon classes with Bumble and bumble and Tigi and trained with Roy Peters, Wella Color, Redken, Goldwell, Wendy and Oscar Bond, Martin Parsons, Vivienne MacKinder and others.

Kellye Pham

Haircutting, design, color, formal styling, bridal services, make-up, waxing, lash & brow tinting, Hair Smoothing Treatment Kellye is a full service technician and has been with us since 2007. She is a graduate of a Paul Mitchell Partner School and aspires to be a successful and famous Service Provider. She keeps up with the latest techniques in hair and make up trends and enjoys creating individual styles. Kellye often lends her talents for image consulting to charity events. She enjoys traveling to attend classes and has completed classes at KMS California, Goldwell, Lanza, Oscar and Wendy Bond, Oribe, Kerastase, Bumble and bumble, and Smashbox/MAC. She often participates in hair competitions and plans to further her career via runway work, platform work, and photo shoots. Kellye specializes in eyebrows and makeup. Kim Milligan

Haircutting, design, Hair Smoothing Treatment, and color Kim is a graduate of The Salon Professional Academy. She has relocated from Ohio and has been with Progressions since July 2007. Kim is one of our Bumble and bumble Network Educators for our salon. She has a strong desire to further her education in order to gain more knowledge in all technical aspects of the industry. She is a quick learner and is very ambitious. Jen seeks to continue her education in order to build a loyal client base and a successful career in the Beauty Industry. Navan Hok

A graduate of a Paul Mitchell Partner School, Navan joined Progressions Team in the summer of 2008. He consistently goes above and beyond and is always willing to accomodate guests, as well as his fellow staff members. Navan provides exceptional service from the consultation to home care recommendations. He has completed advanced education at Aquage, Elegant Hair by Giselle, and Goldwell's Color Trilogy Certification. He is also one of the salon's Bumble and bumble Network Educators. Photography is one of Navan's many talents. His work is on display throughout the salon and spa and is available for sale. One of his future aspirations is to work as a runway and photo shoot artist.

Nancy Daniel

Esthetician, Skincare, Waxing and Body Treatments A graduate of the French Institute in Washington, DC, Nancy has been a licensed esthetician since 2006. She comes to Progressions with an in depth knowledge of all skin care types and conditions. She is trained in a variety of advanced skincare lines including Bioelements, Guinot, and Somme. Nancy is especially skilled in the care of mature skin. She accepts that times marches on, but believes that with the right skincare regiment it doesn't have to show on your face. Nancy is ready to give your skin the defenses it needs to face time with confidence.

Teresa Hinton

Esthetician, Skincare, Waxing, Body Treatments Our Senior Esthetician, Teresa Hinton, has recently joined our esthetic team with over 25 + years in the service industry and over 7 years in advanced skincare. Teresa comes to us having received Top Honors as the "Rising Star" from DAYSPA magazine and has been published in several industry magazines. Specializing in eyebrow design artistry, Teresa prides herself on being a "results oriented" technician who believes in learning to "love the skin you are in". "Our skin and body tell our life story. It reflects our stress levels, our youth and our maturity. I look at skincare as a journey that changes, whether it is my teenager with the onset of adolescent acne to my client who is dealing with the changes that go along with menopause, I cover it all. I am there to help my guests respond to those changes."

Support Staff

Maguilia Yil Maguilia has been apart of our team since 1992. Prior to that, she studied Cosmotology. Maria Paloma Maria has been with us since 1998. Her daughter, Cecilia, works with us in the nail department. Maria is the grandmother to 11 grandchildren, however none of them work with us.... yet! Arely Platero Arely has been a part of Progressions since 2004. Her daughter, Silvia works with us as a hair stylist. Arely works very hard to help keep Progressions organized.

Megan joined our Guest Services team in September 2010. She attended college at the University of Maryland, graduating in Hearing and Speech Sciences and where she played lacrosse. She's very active, working out in her spare time.

Skylar Ludwick

Skylar has been a part of Progressions since she was born. Sky is the daughter of salon owner Cynthia Feldman and has been a part of the Guest Services team since 2006. Skylar is passionate about horses and is a seasoned equestrian. She is currently finishing up a degree in English and Political Science at the University of Maryland before continuing to law school in the Fall of 2013.

Linda Gottlieb

Linda is an avid animal lover and has been with us since the beginning. In addition to her talents in makeup, she is an instrumental part of our management team and currently our inventory manager. Inventory Department Dalia Pineda started working with us in August of 2011. She currently works in our inventory dept. ordering, checking in, and displaying our retail items. Dalia's a local, she grew up in Silver Spring. Whenshe's not in the salon, she likes to spend time with her two dogs.

Melissa Caputo

Sales & Customer Service Director Melissa has a broad background in all aspects of Customer Service in a variety of industries. Originally working in the fitness field, Melissa comes to us with a true passion for helping others. She became involved with Progressions as a business consultant and was so impressed with the salon and staff that she relocated from Connecticut to work with us.

Laura Verdi

Although Laura loves to travel, she has spent most of her adult life in Maryland. You're likely to see her around town on her bicycle or motorcycle. Laura's formal education is in nutrition and she permeates good health, self-care, and a positive spirit. She's our voice when you are on hold and has worked with us since 1991.
