We will practice breathing techniques (aka pranayama) that can be a welcoming tool during labor. Postural strengthening exercises will also be incorporated in this hour to help stabilize the joints of a pregnant body as the ligaments around the pelvis and surrounding area relax and become hyper mobile. |

We examine the correlation of the meridian lines and the postures we hold to help maintain a healthy flow of "Qi" (also known as "life force"). Functionally, Yin focuses on releasing the tendons and ligaments of the body by not allowing the body to overheat and keeping the physical body completely supported through long held postures. |
