About Pinehurst Resort
Designed as a unique New England-style walking village, Pinehurst Resort in the Sandhills of North Carolina originated in 1895 as a wellness retreat for New Englanders who were set on escaping the harsh winter season. Occupying 5,000 acres, the luxury golf and spa resort has enchanted travelers, locals, and U.S. presidents alike over the years with award-winning dining, two-dozen tennis courts, and an impressive collection of eight golf courses—the historic property has hosted more championships than any resort nationwide. Fashionable guest rooms imbued in Southern charm await at the historic Holly Inn or the regal Carolina hotel; guests will also take pleasure in the Spa at Pinehurst, a AAA Four Diamond sanctuary with classically inspired architecture and a menu of more than 50 relaxing treatments, from the Gemstone Facial to the Parisian Firming Treatment to the Sweet Tea Sugar Scrub.

Guests have delighted in inimitable services and amenities at The Spa at Pinehurst since its 2002 debut. In a design evocative of the Pinehurst Resort’s Carolina hotel, the Spanish colonial-style spa exteriors feature a signature copper roof and a façade inspired by a conservatory that once graced the resort grounds; indoors, dark wood and warm hues set an inviting tone. The 31,000-square-foot spa, awarded four stars by Forbes Travel Guide, has 28 treatment rooms, six of them suites, along with a saltwater pool with hot tub, full-service salon, and locker rooms with whirlpools, saunas, and steam rooms.
Botanical treatments utilize product brands like Naturopathica, Sothys, and Aveda, not to mention locally harvested ingredients. The signature Heart of the Pines, a dry brush exfoliation and massage uses fresh, long-leaf pine harvested in Pinehurst village. In addition, a string of services are designed for golfers, including the Champions Massage.
