Tranquility Massage and Wellness Center

I first went here in January of 2007 on vacation. Every time I go back to Lake Tahoe, I totally regret not remembering the name of my masseuse. It was the best massage I've ever gotten... anywhere! I went back in 2008, got a different masseuse and it was still a very good massage. I'm going back to Lake Tahoe in February and am looking forward to my next massage here.

With many choices in SLT for a massage therapist - don't go here. Not only is it small and shabby but their customer service is terrible. I took the day off looking forward to a massage while my 3 kids (under 2 years old) were in daycare half day. I made the appointment the day before...when I got there the doors were locked and lights off. I waited 30 minutes. After repeated calls (I found out later) to the owner she said someone was coming. When Jessie showed up, she says she had no knowledge of my appointment and I was out of luck because she had someone else coming in 30 minutes. I was so upset I cried since I was looking forward to it. My husband bought me a massage for mothers day and now I will never get to use it. This place is TERRIBLE and the business is run terribly. Even on their doors there is a sign that says, if the door is locked, call us and we'll be here in 15 minutes...not. PLEASE don't support this business and go somewhere else.

On my review of this spa, it stated that I would not return. This couldn't be further from the truth! I WILL return to this spa every time I am in Tahoe! They are AWESOME in every way!!

After reading several reviews of spas located in the Tahoe area, I decided on the Tranquility Massage and Integrated Wellness Center solely based on the fact that they support our military troops. WOW! BEST decision I've ever made!! The owner, Tammy, is very personable (in fact she chatted with my husband for the whole 2 hours I was getting my massage!) The facility is small, but the friendliness of the staff and quality of the services are "BIG"- I get regular massages when I'm at home and I have had massages in a variety of places while on vacation, but hands down, this was the BEST massage I have ever had- including Hawaii! Jessica gave me a 90 min deep tissue massage and a 30 minute reflexology (hands and feet)- She is "the BOMB!" At the end of the session I walked out of there not feeling any of my usual chronic back pain and was totally relaxed. When we move to the Tahoe area I will be a regular visitor to "Tranquility"- They are not real pricy and worth every penny- If you are looking for a GREAT massage, visit them!
