About The Spa at Bear Mountain Inn

Originally built in 1915 and just one hour from Manhattan, the Bear Mountain Inn takes a stately position among 5,000 acres within the Palisades’ Bear Mountain State Park. Travelers can relish in mountain landscapes that energize the body—the resort is steps from the first section of the Appalachian Trail—and awaken the spirit with a visit to The Spa at Bear Mountain. The quaint spa, located on the third floor of the Inn, works in unison with the parkland setting, offering renewing therapies like the Runner’s Massage, Bear Mountain Shirodhara Facial, and Gentlemen’s Kur.

Rooms & Dining

Guests have the option of staying in one of three distinct lodging types. Six-bedroom stone cottages have a rustic charm, complete with a front porch, common room, and wood-burning fireplace, while 15 guest rooms and suites in the historic Bear Mountain Inn are elegantly appointed with satellite TV and luxury bedding and linens. As well, visitors can opt for the Overlook Lodge, where 24 guest rooms feature kitchenettes.

Free WiFi Internet access is available in all accommodations, excluding the cottages. Guests are also treated to complimentary continental breakfast.

Diners can enjoy international creations from award-winning chef Michael Matarazzo at Restaurant 1915. Its oversized fireplace and panoramic views foster an inviting, woodsy esthetic ideal for a lively dinner with friends or brunch with the family. Small plates highlighting flavors from around the globe are served at Blue Roof Tapas Bar, which showcases live piano music Thursday evenings.
