    Phyllis at the Madison takes spa packages to a whole new level with the Afternoon Affair package, including a limo ride to the spa, lunch, and a full range of treatments: a massage, facial, manicure, pedicure, hair styling, and makeup application. The spa offers more than a dozen additional packages, including two designed for men. Facials include remedies for sensitive skin as well as glycolic peels. Body facials, cellulite wraps, and sunless tanning are also available. Massages include Swedish and deep tissue modalities, and hair care includes cuts, perms, and coloring. The spa also offers makeup applications, waxing, and eyebrow tinting.

Worst Haircut Ever -- Helmet Head

$70 is the most I have ever paid for a haircut in my life, and it was by far the worst. I have a lot of hair, not really fine or really coarse, but a lot. So it really needs to be layered and texturized to flow. I scheduled my appointment with the owner of the salon. I kept asking her to layer the top, and she kept saying that I didn't have the right face to wear bangs. I never said a word about bangs, and I didn't want bangs. I wanted layers and body. I left with a helmet head. She cut off all the length (which I wasn't opposed to in theory), but left it super long on top weighing it down. The only good thing that came out of it is that when I went elsewhere to have it fixed I got the shortest cut I have ever had, which was super cute and sexy. I never would have gone so short if my hair hadn't been such a mess thanks to Phyllis. The atmosphere and spa offereings seemed really nice. The receptionist was great, showed me the whole salon, took my coat and helped me on with it when I left and got me something to drink while I waited.
