This spa is one of the only ones I go to. Honestly I was a little weary at the beginning, because their prices were so cheap and affordable, and they price match. I thought there was a catch, but to this day I have not ONE negative thing to say. I do wish they were a little bigger though!!! Overall a great place for great service!!!

The day of our appointments, the "spa" had an electrical fire. Instead of rescheduling our boby wrap and mini facial for me and my friend, they made us wait 45 minutes while they scrabbled to get the treatment rooms cleaned and ready. There was no heat and loss of lights in the hallways and staircase. We froze the entire time during our body wrap with the only relief of a tin foil wrap and thin towels. Cold, thin towels were used to wipe off the mud. My facial was awful - it was rough and painful. I've never looked forward to getting dressed and out of there as much as I did at Randee Elaine. We immediately expressed our dissapointment and requested a refund (pre-payment of services was required, which is very shady). The desk person said she was sorry and that they are "not like this." She said that she had to speak to the owner before issuing a refund (I used spafinder gift card and my friend used a credit card). Within in two hours, we received a call that we would be refunded, followed up more apologies and pleas to give them another try. We also received a $50 voucher for future serves. Sorry, we will not be going back. Ever. Even if there was no fire that day, my facialist had awful technique.

I would hope that you would understand that we had a major fire in the shop. Our main concern was to get everyone out and safe. We did give you a refund along with a free gift certificate. I was very nice to you and attentive. This was not an ordinary circumstance. I just thank g-d no one was hurt! I am sorry for all that you and the staff endured! If you ever do want to come back, under normal circumstances, I would love to treat you to a day of beauty! The salon has since been renovated and I will guarantee you a relaxing great service on us!

Although my therapist was adept, the atomospher is dirty and run down, the other therapist was dirty and gathered around talking I think in Russian and the treatment room was dilapidated, needing major repair. I was actually worried for safety and possessions. Will not go there again

I visited this spa about two years ago for the first time, and had a massage using their first time client discount. The massage was good in itself, but there was so much commotion/noise outside the room, that this made the experience just OK. Last Sept. I went back, for their teeth whitening deal through SpaFinder Deal Days. Thought I'd give it a second try I guess. That was just a waste of money. The whole process was uncomfortable and the lady who performed it had me holding the light in my mouth while she stood there and texted away until it was time again to push a button and have this phony machine re-started. She was also way to pushy trying to make me buy this kit for teeth whitening at home. It was just a silly mistake on my part to actually believe they could do a descent teeth whitening session at this place. You definitely get what you pay for (or less). I'll give them this though - the staff is very friendly and two times I have been there, it was full, so they must be doing some services right. I would maybe go back to this place for a quick manicure, nothing else.

I love that I made an appointment and as soon as I walked in was greeted and serviced right away. The price is also within good range with fair service. got the shiatsu massage treatment and although a tad rough, when I spoke up on that, things did improve. Hey, you cant beat the price and no wait factor. Overall I would give it an A-

thought I'll kickoff spa week with an intro to a place I've not been. I expected a total spa experience with aroma & candle setting but most of all experienced masseuse what I got was someone to skurt cold oil on me and rub my body with her very abresive hands. cheap is not always good.

Massages with Mimi at least once a week or I am stressed and facials with nadia every other week. I feel fresh when I walk out of here like I was reborn (lol) I always spread the word about this place.

Been leaving reviews everywhere about this place. Pursued the treatment one month ago in mid July, and the results were absolutely incredible. Skin around stomach tightened up and bags under eyes were gone. Would recommended everyone and everything to this laser center. I did so much research on thermage treatments over the past few months and I was always a little iffy on the topic. Friend of mine had it done here and when i saw his results I was amazed. Decided to suck it up and go in myself, and the outcome is absolutely 110% satisfying. Huge huge thanks to everyone there and I will visit soon!

I did laser hair removal there, spent a lot of money but did not get very good results. So I switched to another spa, and it was a wise decision. The stuff is disorganized, sometimes unprofessional. But i did get a very nice massage there, and they also do a great job with pedicures, especially for men.

I must say the prices here are affordabel. The laser technician named danielle is incredible. I am now hairless after 7 treatments. I magine, I had such a bad ingrown problem. I am not someone who complains very often, but given my experience with the Randee Elaine Spa, I feel that a complaint is well deserved. I went to Randee Elaine in hopes that they could provide me with the laser hair treatments that I so badly wanted/needed. I do not have thick hair, nor was it that noticeable to many others - but it was something that bothered me enough to save every penny I had in order to get this service done. When I went in, they told me that I would probably need 6 sessions since, as I mentioned, my hair growth was not that bad. I had a number of different technicians - they were all unprofessional. The place was dirty, but I overlooked it since I had already invested $900 into getting these treatments and I just wanted to get them done and forget that this place ever existed. 6 sessions later - my hair growth is WORSE. I have thicker hair and now, not only am I out of the $900 that I spent months saving, but I am extremely embarrassed by the noticeable hair that has grown back. I called and spoke to the manager, Jody, and she said she could offer me additional sessions for the same discount that I had gotten for my first package. I informed her that there was NO WAY I would ever put another dime into this so called "laser center" and promised her that I would write a negative review on every website I could to warn others not to waste their hard-earned money there - she then said she'd have the owner call me. They must not care about getting bad reviews, because I never heard back from Jody or the owner. Do not go here! Please. Don't waste your money. I am now starting to save up again because I have to go somewhere more respectable in order to fix the mess Randee Elaine spa created.

I had a microdermabrasion treatment with Samantha and a one hour body massage for only $100. The place was quite busy downstairs, which was a good sign. When I went upstairs for my massage, it was a different experience..quiiet and relaxing. The room was pretty with some nice paintings and my technician was wonderful!.the front desk staff was also very sweet. when i was there i heard someone brag about the teeth whitning, so i made an appointment after new years for that.. I will go back. Ask for Samantha.

Let me start by saying for the price it was good - BUT.......!! I understand that this is NYC and space is limited, but you could hardly fit the table in the room, let alone the massuese. It is very noisy, you can hear the staff laughing and talking in the halls. I'm used to going in a room and being wrapped in warm sheets, not laying on paper like you're in the Dr's office. Also, they use paper towels to apply and remove products during your facial, not very pleasant..they should at least use cotton if they can't use warm wash clothes. It's not a quiet and relaxing atmosphere, it's chaotic. Nothing ran smoothly even though we had appointments...at 1st they couldnt find our reservations..that were already paid for...so I don't think they had our treatments lined up. Also there is only 1 bathroom for clients and employees and it's downstairs..so if you're upstairs in a treatment..you need to go all the way downstairs to use it. I felt so bad for the employees..the working conditions were awful...they were even eating their lunches at the manicure stations...not very professional, but I guess what else are they going to do..it's busy!! I have to say, my massuese was very good sorry I don't remember her name..she's Russian I think and has very short hair. The spa pedicure was OK - I'm used to having my feet and calves scrubbed and then massaged...but that did not happen, just a basic pedi and a parrafin treatment..they don't even have those massage chairs like most nail salons have. But again, where can you go for $150.00 for a massage, facial and pedicure??

I am a spa junkie. I really liked this spa. They are not the typical spa, because they have everything from hair to nails , massages, facial and laser hair removal, all under one roof. I used a gift card that I got as a present and I am sure glad that I did. I did my massage with monica and Facial with rebecca. The place is 2 floors and really classy. It looks as if they remodeled. While I was there, I also , unexpectaly did a brazilian laser and purchased a package with Daria. I highly reccomend this spa.

If you want to do everything under one roof..choose this spa. You do not really see this in NYC. They do laser, wax, spa treatments, haircuts, my brochure even says they do ear candeling. They must of recently rennovated , because this spa is really classy. Oh they do nails to. Anyway, I found this through my gift check that I receved, I had a facial and massage as wwll as an unexpected brazilian wax. atmosphere is nce, staff is nice and the place is very proffesional, no attitudes! This is now my favorite spa.

The staff was very inviting and I had a pleasurable experience. They were runnins spa specials for spa week. I had a body wrap and a 1/2 massage. All this for $50. Well Worth it! Ask for Monica, she was excellenteeee!!!! My girlgriend had Jane and did a 1/2 facial and a micro treatment and was just as pleased!

ask for yuri he is the best. Proffesional and nice technique. I must say there staff knows wha they are doing, this is the busiest spa I have ever seen. Don't let the downstairs fool you. There spa is upstairs where it is quiet and much more relaxing. Ask for Yuri! He is the best I ever had.

I had a friend visiting from out of town so I searched spafinder.com to book a massage service for us to enjoy during her visit. I chose Randee Elaine Spa based on it's proximity to her hotel (Hotel Gansevoort) and the services offered. We were very much looking forward to an afternoon of pampering. When we entered the salon we were immediately turned off by the loud, cramped atmosphere, but decided to give it a chance. Next, the cashier refused to apply the discount coupon I printed from the Internet to both of the services. Instead of causing a fuss, we overlooked this poor customer service hoping that the massage would be worth the hassle. We were wrong. After waiting downstairs for some time we were escorted upstairs and told to sit on two fold-up chairs in a hallway to wait. At this time, we observed that the place should really be closed while under construction because the conditions upstairs were unkempt and unprofessional. There were fluorescent lights flickering, and staff tucked haphazardly in every corner. One masseuse showed up and took my friend to her massage room. 15 minutes later the other showed up apologizing for her tardiness. She led me to a tiny massage room, turned on a very loud air conditioner, told me to undress and lay on the table, and disappeared. There was no customary introduction, inquiry about any health issues or injuries, nothing. I was surprised to observe that the tables were covered with the same paper-cloth you find at the doctor's office. I also found a paper-cloth gown (tie-in-the-back-hospital-style). I was appalled, since every massage I've ever had has involved very nice sheets, a blanket, and sometimes even a heating or cooling pad on the table. However, I was trying to keep an open mind, so I stayed. When she returned, she began massaging me with what felt and smelled like baby oil. The room was so small that my masseuse couldn't even maneuver around the whole table. Throughout the service I could hear the loud talking of other staff in the hallways and the sound of what may have been the laundry room on top of the noise produced by the air conditioner. I spent the whole hour fluctuating between trying to find some comfort in the service and hating myself for not getting out of this situation before it was too late. Overall, the massage left me feeling like I needed a shower and another massage to recover. When I discussed the experience with my friend afterward, I discovered that she was equally dissatisfied with her service. We both felt that the staff was not professionally trained. My friend added that her experience included the agony of listening to a kitchen timer tic-tic through her whole massage until it finally rang at the one-hour mark. What a nightmare! WE DO NOT recommend this salon. And frankly, I believe salon staff wrote the other reviews on this site. They are simply implausible considering our experience of the atmosphere and services offered at the Randee Elaine Spa.

I love this spa. They are the busiest facility that I have ever seen, the cheapest I have ever seen and the most organized. I had an appointment with someone by the name of Adyta. What a nice women. She did miracles to my back. I highly recommend her. Don't be fooled, if you walk in and it looks cramped. They have 2 floors and upstairs is much quieter and relaxing. I give this spa a 10.

I am one of those spa lovers, that has been everywhere, from bliss to new haven spa. This spa is incredible. The staff was so nice, I felt so comfortable. I did a spa manicure spa pedicure, 1 hour massage and 1 hour facial and the price was under $150.00 I just had a laser consultation with Joanna, what a nice women. I am looking forward to my 1st bikini laser tomorrow. I rate this spa a number 1...ask for Rebecca for facial and adita for massage. For nails Rebecca did them as well. Save your money and go to this spa. good prices, good atmosphere and great staff!
