About Sedona Rouge
The town of Sedona's (in Arizona) magnificent red-rock scenery attracts millions of people each year. As its name suggests, Sedona Rouge Hotel and Spa matches its ruddy surroundings with a contemporary design scheme accenting the region's signature hue. The property's entryway features a series of glass sculptures resembling the red rocks themselves, which provide most guest accommodations with stunning Southwestern vistas. When darkness falls, brilliant star-filled skies can be viewed from an observation deck. The 5,000-square-foot spa specializes in couple's treatments, for which four of its eight treatment rooms are equipped.
Sedona has long been a popular getaway for couples, and the hotel facilitates romantic vacations with packages that include dinner at the acclaimed Reds restaurant and side-by-side spa treatments. Rooms are appropriately appointed for a lovebirds' escape, with oversized showers and plush king-sized beds, and the small number of rooms (just 77) preserves the illusion of total isolation. Upon emerging from the comfy cocoon of a treatment room or guest room, visitors can enjoy all the outdoor sports, natural splendor, and cultural attractions for which Sedona is well known.

The intimate Spa at Sedona Rouge adds a distinctive Mediterranean/North African flavor to the hotel's contemporary design. The spa entryway is distinguished by Moroccan tilework and antique grillwork from Tunisia. The freestanding facility is also located just beyond the property's pool area, which features wrought-iron Tunisian gates that date from the 16th century. Eight treatment rooms named for affirmative aspects of life (e.g. Harmony, Creativity, and Healing) are housed in the 5,000-square-foot spa, which also encompasses a Tranquility Lounge and garden area.
The treatment menu changes based on the time of year in order to suit the seasonally shifting needs of spa clients. Services can be combined to create customized healing experiences, since all but a few are priced according to duration rather than content of treatment (exceptions are the signature Health and Lifestyle specialties and the Pas de Deux service.)
Spa therapists and outside specialists administer Health and Lifestyle offerings such as hypnotherapy, chakra balancing, and guided meditation. Pas de Deux accounts for one-third of the massages booked at the spa. This 90-minute couple's experience is designed to increase connection and communication between partners with a synchronized essential-oil massage, followed by a private candlelit bubble bath.
The 700-square-foot fitness center has nautilus machines, elliptical trainers, recumbent bikes, and weight-training equipment.

Sedona Rouge has 77 guest rooms, including seven exclusive spa suites with pampering amenities such as in-room soaking tubs and extra-spacious living areas to accommodate spa parties. Among the highlights of the accommodations are oversized, plush beds with goose-down duvets, 250-thread-count linens, and chamber pillows. A romance-enhancing feature of each guest room is the double-headed shower.
Reds is a casual 74-seat bistro whose design is dominated by its namesake color. A wood-burning oven and a red glass bar bearing faux-geological striations characterize the cozy, unassuming atmosphere. The restaurant serves flavorful contemporary and Southwestern cuisine.

Those who come to Sedona to escape the demands of everyday life will find ample opportunities for rejuvenation. Sedona Rouge's central location and knowledgeable staff can help plan excursions and obtain reservations at the area's most desirable destinations. Downtime can be spent meandering through the property's several placid courtyards, practicing yoga stretches in the outdoor column garden, or gazing at the stunning landscape from the 50-seat outdoor observation deck.
The hotel is situated just two miles from the Thunder Mountain trailhead, which offers a system of trails threading through Sedona's famous red rock scenery. The distinctive geological features of the Southwest can be explored and enjoyed by both novice and expert hikers.
A 30-minute drive brings hotel guests to the fascinating Sinagua Indian Ruins of Tuzigoot, the remnants of an 800-year-old Native American canyon village. "Montezuma's Well," an enormous cratered lake located near the ruins, has nothing to do with the legendary Aztec emperor but mystifies scientists attempting to locate the underground source of its thermal waters.
Red rocks loom over the 6,646-yard, 18-hole championship course at Sedona Golf Resort, where elevations range from 3,960 to 4,260 feet above sea level. Southwestern artworks are showcased in Sedona's Tlaquepaque Arts & Crafts Village, a cluster of approximately 40 sycamore-shaded galleries, specialty stores, and fine restaurants.
