This Salon is closed!
Went by today to use my spa finder certificates and found a sign on the door that they are seized! They haven't shut down their site to book appointments, buy gift certificates, etc. Please beware.

Great experiences all times I have been.
I live close by to this spa and I have been here for massages and mani/pedi's. The massages have always been top notch. Good value for the quality of service and very relaxing. The woman who did my mani pedi was fantastic and she was very thorough. My nails lasted through my two week european vacation and I just had regular UV sealed polish! It was awesome. The receptionists are always available and kind. I was really surprised to see how bad the reviews since I alway have such a great experience.

HESITANT AT FIRST
I was hesitant to book an appointment since the reviews weren't the greatest. I was out of town on business, and desperately needed a haircut, so I decided to try it out. I booked an appointment with Anna Delamela, and my hair has not felt/looked better in years! :-) She was such a sweetheart and knew exactly what it was I was trying to ask her to do. She did a great job and made me feel super comfortable. Maybe it isnt the hairdresser these other reviews had a problem with... maybe it was the cramped atmosphere?! For the size space they had, it seemed like they could have designed the layout a bit differently, but overall I enjoyed my experience and conversation with Anna...THANKS SO MUCH!! :-)

Hair cut and Blow dry using Spa Finder
Where do I start! I called to confirm that the salon took Spa Finder gift certificates and they said yes. I also asked at this time how much they charge for a children's haircut and they said roughly $25 which I thought was reasonable. When I got there the stylist washed my daughters hair and couldn't find a towel, she used one that was lying on the chair next to us. I was in shock! I asked her to please use a clean towel to which she replied they were all clean...really? She cut my daughters hair not 2inches like we asked, but 5 inches! and she proceeded to give her bangs that I did not ask for but it was a little too late now! After the cut I gave her the spa finder gift card and she said she does not accept it because she was independent from the salon. She proceeded to charged $55 for an 11 year old...WHAT?! I was shocked. My suggestion to this Salon is that you listen to your customers and ask if they WANT an independent stylist before you book them! and you wash your towels and clean your Salon!!!!

Filthy, poor lighting & too crowded!!
I have been going to ShearBliss since 2007. I had to go through several frogs to get to Neena...she is AMAZING!! She gets my vision! The salon is a different story. It's always dirty, specially in the areas where you get your hair washed (towels are everywhere and the sinks and floors are filthy) and in the dryer area. The space the stylist work from is so SMALL, that they do NOT have enough space to store their tools, color books, and supplies properly. The lighting is horrible, I have to go OUTSIDE to see the actual color in my hair!! If it wasn't for Neena, I would NOT go back!!

This Salon Just Might Be Hell On Earth
This salon is probably the worst salon I've ever been to in my life!!!! The bad service started the minute I walked through the door. I had an appointment for 3pm which I had called to confirm just an hour prior to my arrival. When I arrive there was no one to be found at the reception desk. I wait figuring maybe she had to go to the rest room. Ten minutes later nobody arrived at the desk so I walk through a maze of chairs till I find someone. A women says "Are you Jessica" i replied yes. She knew I had an appointment but had no idea what it was for. Great Communication Shear Bliss!!! I went in for a simple blow dry and asked for curls at the end. I've gotten this same simple service done a million times at salons that have quality hairdressers but it seems that this place just wants to fill their 30 chairs and the owner appreciates quantity over quality. in the midst of a simple blow dry on shoulder length hair my rude and obnoxious hair dresser ( I refuse to use the word stylist because this woman lacked any) decides she wants to answer 5 PHONE CALLS and have 3 minute long conversations on each. This was so unprofessional and rude to me that someone would do this I am not only appalled but disgusted by this behavior. Moving right along because the experience gets worse and worse. Now the hair dresser decides she wants to curl my hair piece by piece with a hot rod so I look like Shirley Temple. Mind you we are an hour and 15 minutes into this eternity of hell. She turns me around and asks how do you like that with this utter joy of accomplishment. My response was I HATE IT and think you did an awful job and this egotistical bozo asks me if I'm joking assuming there is no way SHE could do a bad job. YES HONEY YOU DID AN AWFUL JOB. She proceeds to start blow drying the curls to attempt to give me what I initially asked for but after a half hour more of trying she still couldn't quite get it. What a joke a hair dresser who cant perform a simple blow dry. I put my hair in a bun because this horror of an experience needs to end immediately. A quick and easy exit would have been nice but I couldn't walk out before another less than stellar employee crossed my path. I proceed to check out but the missing receptionist who has now reappeared can't figure out for the life of her how to use a discount card the salon offers. I tell her I would like to pay and she tells me I NEED TO WAIT TILL SHE FIGURES THIS OUT. So I left payment on the desk and walked out.

HORRIBLE!!! DONT GO HERE!!!
I went to Bliss because I live close by and it seemed nice. I asked for auburn base with highlights. I showed the girl the exact swatch of color i wanted for both colors. I started with brown hair- I left with brown hair! The problem with this place is if something goes wrong! I asked the girl where the highlights are, and where is the auburn. She pointed to brown hair and said - right there. Then she gets her friends to come over and claim they see it too. They treat you like your crazy, they back each other up. I called the next day to speak with a manager. She all but called me a liar. She actually claimed that she saw me leaving and is not sure what im talking about. After arguing extensively and refusing her "free haircut" I think she realized I might be telling the truth! I only complained to make her realize what was going on, but clearly she is the reason this is going on. She acts the same way!
Tracey - I am trying to piece together information to address your issue. To this point I have not found another Tracey, Traci, Tracy in the system getting a service done that fits your criteria over the past few months. We only have one Tracey that starts with the last name of "F" and she has been coming to the salon for many years. Can you please call my cell number at 407-719-9015 so that I can address the issue. We do not have a female manager and we would have surely handled the complaint in a different way then asking another service provider. And we certainly would not of had you leave until you got the highlights you wanted. We always offer clients the option of coming in the next few days to get lighter or darker highlites in their hair if something did not turn out exactly how they assumed. There are several reasons why some color or highlites lift or don't lift so we are always more then happy to make the client 100% happy, Bryan the manager is a platform artist and handles any and all hair service issues. Please call me so I can at least address the issue and know that this complaint actually happened at this Shear Bliss. Thx Joe

I went to Sheer Bliss yesterday with my 2 younger daughters for the very first time, as I had SpaFinder gift cards. We had pedicures and enjoyed it very much. The nail techs were very friendly, sociable, and took their time with the 3 of us, even though we arrived shortly before the spa was closing. They made us feel very welcomed. The facility was clean and I felt very comfortable. My daughters finished before I did and were entertained upstairs in an area that had a flat screen TV, nice relaxing chairs, and were offered a beverage. The owner and his wife were very pleasant and personable. I will definitely return and will recommend to others.

Customer Service Mess
This salon is a customer service mess. My first facial appointment, scheduled with HEATHER at SHEAR BLISS was canceled the day before (by Heather). This appointment was rescheduled for today (4/30) at 11am. After I checked in with the front desk, I proceeded to sit in the waiting area for 40 minutes. When I finally shared with the front desk that I needed to leave, 40 minutes is an unacceptable time to wait, the young lady asked if I had checked in with her when I arrived. She obviously did not remember me at all nor did she notice that I had been sitting in the Shear Bliss waiting area for more than 40 minutes. She then searched the computer and seemed confused. Apparently, my second appointment was also canceled. Not only did not I not receive a call from Shear Bliss regarding this second cancellation, but the young lady at the front desk did not even pay enough attention to check me when I arrived to discover that I did not have an appointment at all. I do not recommend HEATHER at SHEAR BLISS who obviously cannot keep her appointments and, quite frankly, after the atrocious customer service I received, I do not recommend SHEAR BLISS, either. There are too many other salons and spas in Central Florida to waste another 40 minutes
I did speak to Heather about the incident of canceling your appointment and she was very apologetic and said she would be more then happy to give you another service. Appearently she threw her back out moving the day before and did not realize the severity of the problem until she could barely move. The second problem was your waiting while the front desk staff did not actively folow up or check you in properly. I am not trying to make excuses but we have had some employee changes. Too further try to prevent this from occurying we invested in an electronic "vibrating" pager system that signals the service provider as soon as you are checked in. This paging equipment was activated in October. Upon your arrival at the salon you should see the front desk staff push one of the 50 pager lights to notify the provider that you are available. The light flashes at the front counter if the service provider does not greet you within five minutes. This flashing light will also alert the front desk staff of a possible problem "IF" the service provider fails to greet you within the five minutes - ensuring that we do not keep anyone waiting without an explanation.. The salon can become very busy on days when 300 clients visit one of the 45 service providers. We believe this new system will prevent any client from waiting without knowing the cause. I for one hate waiting and am taking action to prevent anyone else from waiting without an explanation. Heather is sorry for your cancelation and I am sorry we did not check you in properly. Hopefully are new paging system will prevent these types of errors

visited this spa and had a hair service performed. Stylist was nice, but really wanted to cut her way instead of listening to the way I would have liked. Ended up with a shorter than intended do, which I was not happy about at all. I next was there for a facial treatment. I thought the room would be nice and relaxing, but it felt like I was at the doctor's office. Very cold and unattractive! Plus, the 'treatment' (peel) only took a total of 5 mins! I felt like it was just slathered on and that was that. I was booked for a massage later that week, which I ultimately canceled, thank goodness. Didn't want to waste another dollar on this place. STAY AWAY!!!
Often a stylit will consult with a client to try to understand exactly what they want. Sometimes the stylists completely understands and sometimes the stylists does not completely understand. For this reason we always like for the client to bring in a picture or save a few pictures of things you like on your phone and share them with the stylists. We also have several books in the lobby, showing hundreds of hairstyles. I am sorry you were not happy with the length of your hair. As with any hairstyle or color, if it is not exactly what you wanted, we are always willing to make it what you envisioned. Facial peel applications can be very fast. There is a certian amount of time you leave the chemicals on depending on the skin type and the actual peel. I know some peels are left on the skin for one minute before neutralizing and others are left on for15 minutes and neutralize themselves. The key to a successful peel is not in the amount of time it takes but rather knowing which peel is going to be safe and effective for each individual. Some peels are done in a series for as little as $35 that take 15 minutes while others like the ViPeel are $300 and take 30 minutes in one visit. So chemical peels should not be judged on the time or the expense as much as they should be judged on the knowledge and experience of the esthetician to make sure you are getting the right peel. I am sorry you cancelled your massage because we have extremely good experienced therapists. We hire about one massage therapist for every twenty applications so I am not sure where you went but chances are the therapist did not meet our skill standards.

Great Hair Service
I went to Shear Bliss a couple weeks ago and was put with a young stylist Kara Barber. She was great, listened very carefully to everything i wanted done with my color and cut. It came out exactly like i wanted it to and i couldn't be more pleased with my service there. The front desk was very kind and helpful from the moment i got there to the moment i left. I will definitely be going back again.

Do not get Botox here
I have been using Botox for years with great results. Had a gift certificate here and treated myself. This was not treat. The Botox did not last even six weeks. $600 dollars wasted.
Both the Doctor and I (the owner) wish we had an opportunity to respond to your issue. Dr, Mercedes has been with the salon since we opened in July of 2004 and this is the first unsatisfied Botox customer. We do several Botox injections every week and want our clients to get the results they expect. We would be happy to give you some additional Botox free of charge on the chance we had some defective Botox???. We do order the brand name Botox.but even they may produce a defective batch every now and then. We also prefer to see the client for a follow-up visit two weeks after their Botox injections just to make sure the results are satisfactory. Often this touch up of a little extra botox here and there makes a big difference after the muscles react to the medicine. Please come in and at least give us an opportunity to discuss your Botox and we promise to give you the results you desire.

If only there were negative stars...
Shear Bliss...not very blissful - it is a hair salon first with second rate (unattractive, dirty) rooms for other services performed by less than spa-like staff members. No robe, no candles, no ambiance. Get your tetanus shot before you go!
Shear Bliss is more a "Salon" then a "Spa". We cater to the client who wants to get a service done instead of sitting in rooms with waterfalls, or walk around in robes. I do not mean to sound like a jerk but I would suggest you book with one of the resort spa's for that type of atmosphere. We simply do not have the resources or the space the resorts have in their spas. I am sorry that you feel our white cabinets and beige walls are not attractive. There are pictures of our treatment rooms on the web site for those that may feel comfortable around these neutral colors. We do go to great lengths to keep the facility clean. Every Wednesday night and Sunday night there is a professional cleaning company that comes to the salon and cleans everything from top to bottom. We also have weekly inspections on the service providers to make sure they keep their rooms clean in between client appointments. We have terminated Service Providers for not keeping their room clean. Please let the management know which room and service provider you visited so we can get the issue resolved with that service provider.
