About Avalon Salon & Aesthetic Day Spa
Avalon Salon & Spa offers a broad range of options for relaxation and beautification in a tranquil atmosphere. The 4,800-square-foot facility encompasses a full-service salon as well as a physician-supervised medical spa with five treatment rooms. Before treatment, guests can relieve tension in the relaxation area with complimentary tea and a locker room with showers and saunas. Aromatherapy and relaxing spa music contribute to the therapeutic ambiance.
An array of dermal filllers such as Restalyne® and Juvederm™ are available for the correction available for the correction of fine lines and wrinkles. Skin-rejuvenating IPL (intense pulsed light) treatments address brown spots and other skin imperfections. These treatments can be combined with laser skin rejuvenation for optimal collagen production. Titan Skin Tightening employs infrared technology to stimulate the production of collagen below the dermis in a 45-minute treatment involving minimal downtime. Zerona™ body contouring services are also available. The medical director administers mesotherapy treatments to achieve numerous effects, including cellulite reduction, pain relief for muscles and joints, and hair regrowth.
Spa therapists are on hand to provide a variety of clinical, soothing aesthetic therapies. Avalon's comprehensive selection of day spa treatments includes seasonal facials, deep pore facials, vitamin C facials, and a variety of hydrating and detoxifying body treatments. Products from Eminence and Skinceuticals are used in nourishing and purifying facial treatments. Chemical peels and microdermabrasion are additional ways for guests to enhance their appearance.
Jane Iredale Mineral Cosmetics and Kerastase Hair Care are among the product lines used and sold at Avalon.

I looked this day spa up on Spa finder, I had a friend visiting from out of state and wanted to have a girls day out. My friend is very well traveled as am I. I Read the reviews and decided to give it a try. Very disappointed from the get go. The front desk staff did not seem very knowledgeable about the different services.She did not know how long the treatments were and how much they cost. I was put on hold twice so she could find out. I was trying to book 2 treatments simultaneously for myself and my friend. When we arrived they were not very organized slippers and robes had to be located and placed in lockers. The area in which you dress and shower was very tiny and not very relaxing there was no place to lounge and rest comfortably. We waited quite a while in between services and we were both surprised that our massage therapist's made us sit up to apply product which is horribly uncomfortable. The rooms were cold and we were having body treatments. I was having a Detox mud treatment and was never asked a health question nor did I have to fill out any forms. Again not relaxing. It was the worst body treatment I had ever experienced. Pretty online but not in person.

I booked a spa day with many different services, including spa mani/pedi, facial, massage, sunless tanning, and eye brow wax. The mani/pedi and massage were AWESOME, probably the best I've ever had. Highly recommend! The facial was pretty good, and sunless tanning and eye brow wax were good as well. I liked that they had a sauna I could wait in with a glass of wine between services too.
The worst part of the spa day though was I felt like I was forgotten about most of the day. There was not very good transition between services. When I first came to the salon, they thought I was only there for 1 service. Then, I went to wait for the facial on a couch and sat there for 20 min, even though I was late arriving for the appt, and then was scolded for being late. Being transitioned to the mani/pedi was great, and was given wine and waited in the sauna for the massage, which they had forgotten to schedule and had to fit me in. I waited for 1.5 hours, and had to find the massage person myself who didn't know I was waiting for her, after I told 3 different people that I had been waiting for a long time.
The entire spa day was supposed to take 4-4.5 hours, I was there for over 7 hours!
I will go back, but just 1 service at a time!

I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH MY LASER HAIR PROCEDURE DONE BY JOAN, SHE WAS VERY NICE AND POLITE THRU THE WHOLE PROCEDURE AND I HAVE TOLD SEVERAL PEOPLE IF THEY WANT THIS PROCEDURE DONE TO GO TO AVALON .

I was so thrilled to find this salon and spa in the Hyde Park/Oakley area. Most people don't realize how huge this place is with a an relaxing, spa area where I received the best facial I've ever had and my first sunless tanning experience which was impeccable!
I've been to some of the best spas in the world including the Phoenician in AZ and the spa at Fountainebleau in Miami and it was refreshing to see a salon in spa in Cincinnati with many of the same attributes.

I took my sister to this spa for her birthday. The atmoshere is wonderful and staff are wonderful. The service was awesome. They asked you if you wanted drinks and brought them to you. They are dedicated to customer satisfaction. I would return to this spa again and again. I will never go to another spa in Cincinnati except for Avalon. I highly recommend this spa!

If you are looking for someone that knows what they are doing and is info what's trendy, Elizabeth is the girl for you! I've been going to her now for 7 years and you won't find anyone that's nicer! I love love her! She just moved to this Spa a few years ago and I've never had a problem with this spa, very friendly!

Did not have a good experience. Has a facial the other day with a very young girl. Not sure if she knew exactly what she was doing. As a former esthetician I knew what to expect and it was very disappointing.
There was a large party in that day and they were very loud and the staff was loud too...not exactly relaxing. Will be finding another location.

I visited this salon after reading some reviews, and I was so impressed! I'd had a bad experience with a pedicure somewhere else and was looking for a new place - I will look no further! After 2 visits for pedicures, I'm hooked on Avalon! Lindsay is awesome. The pedicures are relaxing - not a quick in and out like some places - and the polish looks perfect and lasts a long time! I also love the little touches like free tea/drinks while waiting and while getting the pedicure.

I first visited Avalon simply for a hair cut... Wow, was I impressed. The staff was amazing, and they gave me a tour of the salon. Once I found out all of the services provided I was floored! My cut from Jocelyn was amazing, and since that first visit, I have been back for many mani & pedi's, facials, massages, spray tans, and most recently for Zerona...their new lazer fat removal. That was unbelievable! My only complaint is that I wish I lived closer so I could go more often! I have never been dissapointed!

wow i can't believe the level of service they provide!
not only did i spend the whole day getting a facial, massage, manicure and pedicure i also recieved a kerastase conditioner and style!
i didn't lift a finger i got lunch and had any beverage i chose! i would consider myself a spa snob and this place tops it!

I visited Avalon Salon to relax and was stunned at the beauty of the establishment. As upscale as it is, there was never a time I felt out of place. After my massage with Alan, I had a kerastase treatment. My hair has never felt so wonderful!

Despite the fact that Avalon is a beautiful, high-end spa, the staff is approachable and friendly. I never feel condescended to - I really feel as if I am important!
The massages are divine and the hair coloring is superb. I moved across the country recently, but I will only have my hair done at Avalon when I return home.
You won't go wrong with this salon!

The staff always goes out of their way to make you feel welcomed and relaxed. I always leave feeling pampered! My last time in was the first time Rose had done my hair, and she went above and beyond the call of duty. Not only was she fun to be around, but she knew exactly what I wanted and worked to make sure I got it. The spa always looks wonderful and the seems to be run very professionally!

I spent a whole day at Avalon salon and from the moment I walked in the door, my troubles melted away. I recieved a wonderful facial from Gail. I was pampered from Head to Toe the whole time. The foot bath while having a facial is the most relaxing part. After visiting with Gail, I had a pedicure and manicure followed by having my hair styled. All of the service providers were terrific. I would recomend this spa to anyone who if looking for a destination spa feel in Cincinnati.

Avalon is wonderful. The staff is full of suggestions and happy to help. The massage was relaxing and my hair looked great. This salon is easy to find and around plenty of resturants and stores.It is worth making a day of it.

Ive been to many spas in cincinnati and avalon by far is the best. I spent a few hours getting a highlight,haircut, and spa manicure the entire staff was very friendly. I would recommend Avalon to anyone that wants special treatment without feeling as if you are just a number!
