Look at all her responses to the reviews they are so passive agressive. I had the misfortune to meet her in person to purchase products from her store and she is very unpleasant to talk to and tends to talk down to customers. I mentioned this to some of the other ladies and Barrington and they told me that I am not the only person that felt this way. I never leave bad reviews but I think that she needs to know that her own behavior is hurting her business. As a fellow business owner I would want to know and appreciate feedback. I have been to top spas in NY and Boston and never encountered such an unpleasant owner/manager.

The good:
-I was having a "must have a facial" moment, and they accommodated me by getting me in within the hour. Very much appreciated.
-The appearance of the spa is very lovely and chic.
-The esthetician was warm, knowledgeable, and skilled (especially with extractions!).
The bad:
-The prices. Significantly higher than other spas in the area with similar services.
-The reception experience: Pushy, sales-driven, and only one out of the two receptionists were knowledgeable (perhaps the other was training). All in all, my experience would have been much better if I could have avoided the reception area that made me feel like a $ sign. I would maybe return in a pinch.

My sister and I were looking for a place to spend the day pampering ourselves after a difficult year with family.
This place was exceptional! We spent the day being treated like Royalty! I would highly recommend you find out for yourself what you've been missing in life! The staff was wonderful, we can't wait to go back again!

After receiving a gift certificate i went to this spa. Called for an appointment and they right away wanted my credit card. I explained i had a gift certificate and they could use that to hold my appointment...NO.reluctantly i gave it to her. Upon arrival the atmosphere was very pretty, but tense. I was offered coffee, tea or water. I got a pedi that was AWFUL! My daughter does my feet better.I was escorted to the pedi area. I had a hard time getting seated, there is a step up, that was wet, and i was holding the water. I have balance issues as it is, but felt hurried to sit and soak. The pedi was rushed and under my nails were NEVER cleaned, the shaping was awful. The girl may have still been a student for she truly lacked experience. I got to the cashier where i was hard pressed to give a 20% tip. I would NOT go to this place again, they lack the true professional touch that a spa requires for my business. RUDE ~ lipstick on a pig here folks.

We're sorry to hear you didn't enjoy your service. All of our nail technicians have been with us for many years, and are very good at what they do. They always check with the guest for the water temperature as well as the nail shaping. I'm not sure why you voiced no concerns when asked how your service was when you checked out, (we can't correct your experience if you don't let us know), or why you left a 20% gratuity if you in fact did not enjoy your experience. Possibly you were still upset about having to reserve your appointment by credit card, which is a standard policy for most full day spas. I really can't speak to all of your issues, since we have no one with this name having a pedicure in any time frame surrounding this review. All of the pedicures are timed for relaxation, and for the next guests arrival, possibly you were late. We try to make sure all of our guests are happy, and return.

I have been to this spa twice, leaving a bit of time in between for them to get it together. I believe the problems arise from the owner - who was incredibly rude to me and to her employees. When I requested a certain girl to do my facial that I really thought was great the first time, she got an attitude and told me that they are ALL great. I realized after that it was because the girl no longer worked there - she was too good for the place! Now I know why she has such a big turnover there. If that's ever a clue to how a place is run - just see the employee turnover rate. She can't keep the good staff there, so the quality of your service suffers too. I should have known better than to try the second time, as she got a real attitude with me on the phone when I was booking. I will not give them a third try - too many other places that treat you better.
PS - if you want to know her attitude, just read her responses to the people who had problems. I feel bad for the people who work there..

Where do I begin? I'm very familiar with the spa industry, so it's easy for me to point out spas that are professional and ones that simply aren't. Tranquil Waters is highly disappointing. I know of several young women who worked here and were very unhappy. They did not care for their manager. After experiencing a visit to Tranquil Waters, I can see why! The female manager is rude to both her employees as well as certain clients. She seems "too serious", and is lacking the warmth one should feel when they enter a spa. I also read a comment on a similar website from a past client who said that the manager performed services herself WITHOUT HAVING A LICENSE. While this spa is beautiful to look at, you can receive better customer service and quality at other spas. Just do your research and read up on reviews, such as these, before you spend money at any spa. Please think twice before visiting Tranquil Waters.

My daughter use to go here all the time, then she moved to LAS Vegas. She got me the Spafinder for Christmas, and told me to only use it at Tranquil Waters. She said it's still the best Spa she's ever been to, and that includes the ones she found in Vegas. I went for my Christmas present. I have to tell you, I have never received such a wonderful Christmas gift! I had such a wonderful time! Everyone is so helpful, they taught me a lot about my skin. I didn't realize what I have been missing all these years.I pre-booked all my next appointments, and I can't wait to go back.

I started going to this Spa about two years ago. I absolutely love the people here! they are all very friendly, and always very accommodating. I go every six weeks, and I stay for about a half day each time. I have had just about every person in there. Some I like more than others, but all girls are nice. The atmosphere is very relaxing, and my skin has never looked better. I used to by stuff at the mall, but my skin never looked like this! The girls I see have all been there over two yrs, and seem very happy! I make sure I book way ahead, they are always very busy!

I was a customer of this spa for over a year and spent close to $7000 in products and services during that time. I have decided that my money is too valuable to spend at a place that treats their employees terribly, is tense and nickels and dimes you.
The service professionals are excellent and do their best to buffer their clients from the owner. That's not always easy. She is rude to clients and employees. I had a question for my esthetican about the products I had just spent hundreds of dollars on and she wouldn't let me talk to her. She wanted to answer my questions even though she is not the professional nor does she know about my skin.
She also changed my service provider without my knowledge and the fill-in did a TERRIBLE job.
The amount of turn over of both clients and employees should have been an indication.
This review comes after much experience with this spa. There were periods of time I was there almost weekly and have experienced a wide variety of services. The spa is beautiful to look at but you can feel the tension when you walk in. That is not the spa experience I am looking for and especially not at those prices.
I would strongly recommend against visiting this spa.

Tranquil Waters appreciates feedback. We must have been doing something right for you to be coming to us for the last year Patty. Unfortunately we cannot control who are guests socialize with, and when it's an employee or previous employee who's having performance difficulty some guests tend to want to make it personal for themselves. I was informed you were unable to afford the services any longer, as was the case previously. I do not contact guests to inquire of their financial situations.

Way over-priced. Owner is not committed to making the customer happy, just making money. This is evident in staff morale. The technician kept pushing me to book additional appointments during my treatment-not a relaxing environment-go elsewhere, you'll be happy you did.

Sometimes we get young people such as yourself with these type of gift certificates, that are not familiar with a Spa Experience. The technicians evaluate your skin and make both service and product recommendations based on what you would benefit from the most. You would not be happy if you had the wrong service type for your skin, and saw no results. We also give you the product recommendations to take home, also that if you want to get them another time you may. Most people are grateful for the knowledge.

Unfortunately sometimes people don't fully understand the treatments they are booking. We always recommend asking questions if your not sure. We also ask guests to arrive 15 minuted prior to the start of their appointments, so they don't feel rushed. Your appointment ends at the appropriate time if you arrive late, so the next guest is not inconvenienced.

I took my boyfriend to Tranquil Waters for a couples massage for his birthday. I got the relaxation massage and he got the deep tissue massage. The Relaxation massage was great but the deep tissue was a little too deep, he was sore for a few days. Overall the experience was great but the price was a little high.

The pricing and services are standard for the industry. The techniceans always check several times with the guest as to weather or not the pressure is adaquate. It is also the resposability of the guest to let the technicean know what they like.

DON'T WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY! It is possible to spend so much less for a better quality service somewhere else. The services are not only over priced but are so short that there is not enough time to enjoy it. I have been to many spas and trust me this place has staff that seem miserable and the owner is very cold. The products they sell in the spa and boutique are way over priced.

We ask all guests to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the start of thier services, so that they can relax and not feel rushed. The prices and timing of services are all standard for the industry, and the majority of the staff has been here for years, and definitly enjoy what they do.
We always ask if everything was satisfactory before a guest leaves, if you were actually here you voiced no displeasure.

I usually visit the Red Door Salon in Providence RI, but decided to give this spa a try with my mom. The staff is friendly, helpful, and the spa itself has a homey feeling. It has a much more comfortable atmosphere, and friendlier staff. You can't beat the prices, and there is no ammenity fee. I will definitely be a regular.
They also have a little cafe that serves soup, sandwiches, and salads.

While visiting family in the Seekonk area I had opportunity to spent a magical afternoon at this spa. The ambience was just wonderful and the service spectacular. I have been to spas in New Mexico as well as VA, and the attention and services I received at Tranquil Waters exceeded my expectations. The treatment room area was beautifully layed out and offered maximum privacy and relaxation. The cafe offers a nice selection of nutritional and appetizing foods.
I will definitely be back when I return to the Southeastern, MA area.

This was the best facial i've ever had, and I've gone to spas accross the country. The massage was just as wonderful. The decor of the facility is absolutly beautiful, very relaxing. Everyone here was polite, friendly, professional, and I felt like I was KING for a day. I couldn't wait to get gift certificates for everybody I know! They even have a wonderful cafe, I enjoyed lunch after my services, and had the best Asian salad I've ever had. You really won't beleive this place, it's not like any other spa you;ll ever see in New England. The closest I've seen is the spa at the Bellagio in Vegas. I'll be back, and real often!
