On the recommendation of a co-worker who has consistently "fabu"lous nails, my sister and I made appointments for manicures and pedicures at Fabu. We were there very early on a Saturday morning and had the "nail deck" to ourselves. We sipped tea and gazed out the windows at the boats in the bay while Melissa and AJ gave us our services. The ladies were professional, skilled, friendly and "real". The pedicure took an hour and the manicure almost as long. We had our choice of amazing fragrances for our soak, scrub and cream. We got amazing foot and leg massages and we had so many OPI colors to choose from. Our nails were perfect! I'm not a review-writer, but I wanted to thank Fabu!

Endless and heartfelt thanks to Galina for a deep and rich hair color, to Lucy for the perfectly straight blowout and flawless makeup application, and to Ginger for my very happy feet and perfect polish choice. I like the sense of calm and peace when I enter Fabu. Staff is welcoming and pleasant. Place is spotless and warm. I feel as though I have stepped (for a short time) onto a caring planet where I can shed the intensity of my busy work world!

I was looking for a friendly, discrete salon for waxing. I found Marta at Fabu. She not only made me feel absolutely welcome and comfortable, but she actually made me laugh during an otherwise embarassing process. She was completely professional and I knew I was in good hands. I plan to go to her from now on. I also had the tour, and can't wait to try other services, perhaps a pedicure!

Fabu is excellent! I went here with my bridal party one afternoon so we could prep before my bachelorette party in the Old Port that night and we were not disappointed!!! The place is GORGEOUS - the decor is impeccable and the views are amazing! We all had a combo of massages and nails. I had a half hour massage (with Janelle, who was great) in a room that overlooked the ocean and then I had a spa pedicure. The products they used during the pedicure were delightful - I even got to choose the scent I wanted! All of the staff were very knowledgeable and extremely friendly - they even let us tour the other areas of the spa that we hadn't seen.
Two Bonuses -- they have a day care room so you can get your service done while one of their staff watches your kid!!! This was huge for one of my bridesmaids who had her daughter with her. Second - we were a bit late to our appointment because of traffic and parking issues and thankfully it didn't really phase the staff at all. I hate being late for appointments like that, but they were very accommodating.
I am definitely making it my spa of choice in Portland!

In a smaller city with a busy crowd in the Old Port it was so lovely to escape to this sanctuary. Beautiful colors, people and products welcomed and srrounded me during my visit. The staff were professional, knowledgeable, and the best thing was I could just be myself. It's my new salon...THANK YOU for making me feel so wonderful and look so good!

Walk in and you get greeted with a smiling friendly face. Then which ever service you are there for you indulge in and enjoy. Anywhere from their great massages to a beautiful new hair cut you can also sit back and enjoy the view because your loacted right at the waters edge of portland maine. There's nothing better then walking away feeling good and looking great and thats exactly how you feel when you leave Fabu.
