Maybe the facials and other services are great(?) but I had the seaweed body wrap treatment and it was nothing like the website claimed to offer. I had the body scrub first and it was definitely a scrub and not the "gentle" exfoliation. She rubbed to where it began to feel like sandpaper. Then to do my back, I had to sit up and hunch over, which was awkward having my whole upper have exposed without cover up. As she was applying the seaweed, which the website said had natural ingredients to help detox the body and make your skin firmer and smoother in appearance, I wanted to know more about it. She actually said she knew nothing of what it does, that she just applies it. She just said that it leaves your body soft as a baby. I asked if she was going to apply it to my belly, (saggy from post pregnancy) she said it was not necessary because that area tends to be soft anyway. But I did not pay for my skin to be soft, I wanted firming and to reduce cellulite appearance. My back of the thighs and rear end was also not focused on. After the treatment, my skin was so prickly and sore to touch. I have never heard back from them even after I left a few messages and a comment on their site to please contact me! Very unhappy.

First let me say that Monique is what makes this place absolutely phenomenal. She knows the medical and topical factors that really make a difference in how we look. I hope I don't hurt her feelings by saying that she has 33 years of experience making people look their best without using invasive techniques. I've never wanted to go under the knife for vanity, so she's my idol. Her medically proven topical creams and gels for the face do a much more effective job of making us stay looking youthful than all that Beverly Hills scalpel stull does!
I was finishing my session today, and as always a very happy client was awaiting her magical touch. This client looked 20 years younger than what I heard confidentially her chronological age happened to be. Who cares?? My chronological age has NOTHING to do with how I interact and enjoy my life! So, this Ms. X, a 20 year client of Monique, looked great and even radiated warmth toward me, a total stranger.
Oh, and her receptionist, Sonia, what a doll. These people care about you. They care about me. They would be doing their job if there was no money involved!
Please visit Monique's spa. Thirty four years of experience, the love of a totally enlightened person, and such EXPERTISE. I'm sure I'm no beauty queen, but I can tell you that the knife is a long way away for me as long as Monique is giving me her incredible fountain of youth facials.
And oh by the way, she has no idea I'm bragging her up on this website. This is my way of trying to get the truly talented folked in SCV business so we don't have to deal with the less than scrupulous spa "salespeople."
There you have it.... I hope you trust my integrity and will give Moniques a shot. It's right between 14th and 15 street on the east side on San Fernando Road. Wow.... Steam showers, gorgeous massage rooms, great people..... It's Beverly Hills North without the price tag!!!

My experience with Papillion Day Spa have been consistently amazing. The owners and staff vare very professional, warm and always seem to know what I need better than I do. Each time I have visited the spa I felt overwhelmed and tired and hoping to feel somewhat rejuvenated. To my suprize I felt those things and more. I looked in the mirror and saw a beautiful younger woman I hadnt seen in more than a decade.In addtion, I felt relaxed and yet rested enough to take on the world. ....
